• Retort stand, pendulum bob, sting(thread), metre rule, stop watch.

Procedure:

1.The apparatus was set up as shown in figure.

2.The length of thread,l was measured by a metre rule, starting with 20.0 cm. The bob of the pendulum was displaced and released.

3.The time for 20 complete oscillation, t was taken using stopwatch. Calculate the period of oscillation by using
