Day 1

Arrival and check in at Penina Hotel &Golf Resort.

Day 2Walking Tour: Coastline Peaks, Lagos &Ponta da Piedade

Starting with a walk along the coastlinepeaks you’ll discover some of the mostbizarre and exciting rock formations to befound in Europe. Sculpted into the denselimestone cliffs by strong seas and wind

 you’ll spot: the camel, the elephant andthe kissing couple. From here it’s onto thefurthest Lagos beach – Porto de Mós - andthen the highest point on the southern

coast (102 m), for amazing coastline views.The walk then culminates in Praia da Luz,an old fishing village… and one of themost picturesque places in the Algarve.

Hike includes: Specially prepared packedlunch, guide, transfers and insurance.Distance: 6 Km.Duration: 3 hours.

Day 3

Wine Tasting: Quinta dos Vales

In the afternoon you will embark on a tripto the stunning Quinta dos Vales winery.Here you will be greeted by dazzlingdisplays of contemporary and traditionalart… and invited to sample a selection ofthe award winning winemaker’s waresalong with paired regional snacks. Theknowledgeable staff will talk you throughthe wines as you taste them… followed byan intimate tour of the wine cellar where

 you will become privy to behind-the-scenes secrets of their operation.

Day 4

Day at leisure.

Day 5

Walking Tour: Monchique Mountains& Foia

Starting at the highest point in the Serrade Monchique – Foia, where the stunningviews will leave you astounded; youwill gradually make your way down themountain, marveling as you go at anexciting range of flora and vegetationthat varies – thanks to unusual micro-climatic conditions – from the subtropical

to Atlantic varieties. The tour will end inthe village of Monchique, and along theway your expert guide will treat you to

intimate details of the plant life, climate,local traditions… and of course, the peoplewho live in this beautiful region.

Day 6

Walking Tour: Costa Vicentina

This walk starts in Carrapateira, a smallvillage by the Atlantic, where you willwitness enormous sand dunes spreadingout towards the sea… here you will followa narrow road to reach the beautifulbeach at the river mouth. Travelingonwards you will journey up the cliffsto enjoy stunning views over the lesserknown, but staggeringly beautifulwestern coast. Then, having walkedaround 8-10 km, you will reach the Amadobeach, one of the most scenic parts ofthe region, and a little known beautyspot that has to be seen to be believed.

From here, you will make the short return journey inland to Carrapateira.
