Recommendations
Please give any comments or recommendations on how to improve the program further in order to fulfil the current needs of the nation.
1. Manufacturing and Multiple designing software education.
2. Student need to be exposed to working culture reality. More on hand word or internship time would greatly benefit student.
3. Student participation in general course like ISO 9001& ISO 14000 will be great advantage in basic company requirement.
4. Give student opportunity do their professional qualification before they graduate so that they can have added value once they enter the job market
5. Balance the theoretical and practical.
6. Be more practical in learning in order student able to feel and see the real task or problem.
7. Emphasise the fundamental knowledge of engineering. Engineering graduates shall also be exposed with entrepreneurship knowledge. Promote more on the UTM’s slogan “innovative” within student as that value, in my opinion, is so important in current market. Graduates need to be innovative and creative to bear with the competitive industry demand.
34
Recommendations
Please give any comments or recommendations on how to improve the program further in order to fulfil the current needs of the nation.
8. Focus on more soft skills and hands on project
9. Add SolidWorks subject. Make sure student master the techniques until simulation. AutoCAD subject is good but as I attended more than 10 interviews, most of the company ask for SolidWorks as a important skill needed for fresh graduates.
10. Provide more hands-on learning.
11. Do practical balance with knowledge (theory)
12. During the time of my study, our syllabus are more focused on theoretical instead of practical. Sadly enough, not many that I learnt that I can put into practise in my field of work. Therefore, I humbly believes that we need more practical in our syllabus - to ensure MJIIT graduates are industry-ready.
13. Include/increase more group project and technical/practical learning
14. Give the teaching lessons that really related to the real working field.
35

15. Expose student on hands on and problem solving
16. Lectures on current news rather on the history.
17. Give chance to student
18. Provide more courses
19. Focus on IT and coding
20. More hands on and project to students
21. Enforce students' command in the basic engineering concepts. Ensure the relevance of current syllabus. Omit the unnecessary modules. Make sure students only spend time on learning what will benefit their future.
22. More engineering software course
36
Recommendations
Please give any comments or recommendations on how to improve the program further in order to fulfil the current needs of the nation.
22. Need more practical than theory
23. Project management course is a must
24. Should make students experience hands on project on every single subject so that they can utilize the knowledge fully even after graduation without forgetting.
25. Japanese culture applied in company were not implement during studies.
26. MJIIT must make sure all their graduates at least be able to speak Japanese. MJIIT should conduct 1 Semester just to study Japanese only for the students. I guess this will be more effective way to improve their Japanese. What I observing out there, If somebody able to speak Japanese there will high chance to hired by the Japanese company.
