IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS
1. Candidates of PUIEE - 2016 have to apply online only. There is no
printed application form for PUIEE.
2. Please ensure that you are filling genuine application form available
online at website www.mponline.gov.in
3. Candidate Who score 60 and above Marks in JEE-Main 2016 are
exempted From Phase-I and need only Appears in Phase-II after
Registration Process
4. Please ensure your eligibility as per the criteria laid down for PUIEE -
2016
5. All the candidates who have submitted the online application and paid the
examination fee till last date will be allowed to appear in PUIEE - 2016
and their admit cards will be uploaded on the website as per schedule.
The PU-ICE or MPOnline do neither verify the information filled by the
candidates in the application form nor verify any certificate of
category/educational qualification for deciding the eligibility of
candidates. The certificates of educational qualification and category (if
applied under reserved category) will be verified by the institution at
IBM-ICE at time of finilization. The candidates are, therefore, advised to
ensure their eligibility and the category (if applying under reserved
category). The PU-ICE or MPOnline will, in no way, be responsible for
any wrong/incorrect information furnished by the candidate(s) in their
online application form.
6. The fee (in Indian Rupees) for PUIEE - 2016 is as follows:
7. The fee may be paid either by credit/debit card or through MPOnline
kiosk center in cash. Please note that fee submitted by any other mode
like money order, demand draft, I PO etc. will be rejected. Application
fee once paid will not be refunded (full or partial) under any
circumstances.
8. In case the examination fee is paid through credit/debit card, the
candidates may need to pay an additional processing charge
9. The candidates are required to check the status of fee payment at
MPOnline Portal
10. The candidates should select the cites of examination as per their choice
11. Candidates are allowed to submit only one application form. More than
one application i.e Multiple applications from a candidate will be
rejected.
12. The name of the candidate and his/her parents name in the application
form must exactly be the same as registered in Class 12th/ equivalent
qualifying Examination. No prefix/title such as Mr/Shri/Fr/Dr/
Mrs/Smt/Col etc should be used.
13. No options can be changed at a later stage after submission of an
application.
14. The PUIEE - 2016 application has been made completely online i.e. the
candidates have to fill the particulars online and also upload their
PUIEE - 2016 500/- including Portal Charge
photograph, signature. Therefore the candidates are advised not to send
hard copy of the application i.e. acknowledgement page to PU-ICE.
15. However, the candidates are advised to retain hard copy of the application
i.e. acknowledgement page for future reference or correspondence, if any.
16. Candidate(s) may check the status of their application on
MPOnline.gov.in
17. The offer of admission shall be subject to verification of original
certificates/ documents at the time of admission. If any candidate is found
ineligible at a later date even after admission to Institute, his/her
admission will be cancelled.
18. The candidates must have their own personal and valid email id. They are
also advised to have their own mobile number. The candidates are
advised to retain the same mobile number and email-id in use which they
have furnished in the application form because the important information
may be given to the candidates through SMS or e-mail.
19. The decision of the PUIEE regarding the eligibility of any applicant shall
be final.

1 INTRODUCTION
1.1 About People’s University
People's University was established by the Madhya Pradesh legislature through
an amendment in Madhya Pradesh Niji Vishwavidyalaya (Sthapana Avam
Sanchalan) Adhiniyam-2007 as Madhya Pradesh Act (No.18 of 2011) - People's
University, Bhopal as a state Private University and is empowered to award
degrees as specified by UGC under Section 22 of the UGC Act 1956 through its
main campus in regular mode with the approval of statutory bodies/councils,
wherever required.
People's University is situated in Bhopal, the beautiful "City of Lakes", capital
of Madhya Pradesh. People's University has ten Constituent Institutes. Its
campus is conducive and possess academic environment for education & career
building in central India. Our journey began with an objective of" Nurturing
Humanity through Health & Educational Excellence", when SJPN decided to

2 Examination
2.1 Phase-I: Preliminary Examination (Objective Test):
Preliminary Examination consisting of Objective Tests for 200 marks will be
conducted online. This test would be of 2:30 hour duration consisting of
4sections as follows:
Physics 30 Questions
Mathematics 35 Questions
Chemistry 20 Questions
English 15 Questions
The will be conducted in two separate modes i.e. Offline (Pen and Paper Based
Examination) mode and Online (Computer Based Examination) mode
*Note: Candidate Who score 60 and above Marks in JEE-Main 2016 are
exempted From Phase-I they need only to Appears in Phase-II.
Their Marks for Phase-I calculating using follows:
Marks of Phase-I = (Marks in JEE-Main 2016)*1.5
2.1.1 Penalty for Wrong Answers
There will be no penalty for wrong answers marked in the Objective Tests
2.2 Phase-II- Personal Interview (50 marks):
The aggregate marks of candidates qualifying in the Objective Tests will be
arranged in descending order in each category. Adequate number of candidates
in each category, as decided by the PUIEE will be called for Interview. The
qualifying Interview will be as decided by the PUIEE.
2.3 Final Selection
The marks obtained in the Phase-I will be added to the marks obtained in
Interview (Phase-II) for preparation of the final merit list.
The list of candidates finally selected will be made available on the PUIEE
website
*The PU-ICE reserves the right to make changes in curricula, degree
requirements, student intake and academic regulations or change of location at
any time without assigning any reason or prior notice. The said change may
apply not only to prospective students but also to those who are already enrolled
with the University

The option of question paper language should be exercised while filling up the
Application Form and it cannot be changed at a later stage.
3 Cities/Towns of PUIEE-2016 Examination Centres
PUIEE-2016 will be conducted in major cities and towns of India. The lists of
cities are given blow. While applying, candidates must select four centre.
However, if the number of candidates for Computer based examination is less
than 50 in a city than such candidates will be allotted other city.

4 Eligibility
4.1 Date of Birth
Only those candidates whose date of birth falls on or after October 01, 1991 are
eligible. Date of birth as recorded in the Secondary Education Board/University
certificate will only be considered.
4.2 Education Qualification
4.2.1 For MP Domicile Candidates
Passed 10+2 examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects
along with one of the Chemistry/Biotechnology/Biology/ Technical Vocational
subject. Obtained at least 55% marks aggregate .
4.2.2 For Non MP Domicile Candidates
Passed 10+2 examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects
along with one of the Chemistry/Biotechnology/Biology/ Technical Vocational
subject. Obtained at least 60% marks aggregate
5 Number of seats Total No of Seat in Various Specializations is 120
Note: SC, ST, OBC and PwD candidates will be required to produce original
certificate issued by the competent authority at the time of Seat Allocation
Process as well as at the time of admission, failing which they will not be
considered for admission.
6 Scholarship Policy for ICE Program Apart from Government Scholarship People’s University and IBM offers PU-
ICE scholarships to all students on basis of qualification exam marks as per
following:

Only one of the above scholarships can avail by student.
The amount of scholarship shall be divided equally in 4 year and credit to
tuition fee of the student. No cash amount will be given to student

7 ADMIT CARD
The Admit Card can be downloaded from PUIEE website. A call center will
also be functional on all working days from 9.30 AM to 5.00 PM for general
facilitation. The phone numbers of the call centre are available on the website of
PUIEE
7.1 Guidelines to Candidates
1. Please check the Admit Card carefully for your Name, Paper, Date of
Birth, Gender, Test Center Name, City, State Code of Eligibility and Category. In case of any discrepancy, communicate to PUICE immediately for necessary action.
2. The Admit Card is issued provisionally to the candidate subject to his/her
satisfying the eligibility conditions.
3. Candidates are advised to reach the venue at least 30 minutes before the
examination so as to complete the registration formalities well before the
time. Registration desk will be closed 30 minutes prior to the
examination.
4. The candidate must show, on demand, the Admit Card for admission in
the examination room/hall.
5. A candidate who does not possess the Admit Card issued by the PUIEE
shall not be permitted for the examination under any circumstances by the
Centre Superintendent.
6. The candidates are advised to also bring with them a copy of ID Proof
(Aadhar Card, Bank Passbook etc) on the day of their PUIEE- 2016 and
submit the same to the invigilator at the examination centre. The
Candidates have to write Roll No. of copy of the document being
submitted in
7. The candidates claiming the relaxation under PwD category must carry
with them the copy PwD certificate in the prescribed format issued by the
Competent Authority.
8. No candidate, under any circumstances, will be allowed to enter the
Examination Center after the commencement of the examination.A seat
indicating roll number will be allocated to each candidate. Candidate
should find out and occupy their allotted seat only. Any candidate found
to have changed room or the seat on his/her own other than allotted,
his/her candidature shall be cancelled and no plea would be accepted for
it.
9. The candidate should ensure that the question paper available on the
computer is as per his/her choice of medium. In case, the question paper
is in medium other than his/her choice, the same may be brought to the
notice of the Invigilator concerned.
10. No Candidate will be allowed to carry any baggage inside the
Examination Center. PU-ICE will not be responsible for any belongings
stolen or lost at the premises.
11. Candidates are not allowed to carry any textual material, Calculators,
Docu Pen, Slide Rules, Log Tables, Electronic Watches with facilities of
calculator, printed or written material, bits of papers, mobile phone, pager
or any other device, except the Admit Card, identity proof as required
under point no. 5 of para 7.1 inside the Examination Room/Hall. If any
candidate is in possession of any of the above items, his/her candidature
will be treated as unfair means and his/her current examination will be
cancelled & he/she will also be debarred for future examination(s) & the
equipment will be seized.
12. Smoking and eating is strictly prohibited in the examination room.
13. Tea, coffee, cold drinks or snacks are not allowed to be taken into the
examination rooms during examination hours.
14. Approach the Center Superintendent/Invigilator in the room for any
technical assistance, first aid emergency or any other information during
the course of examination.
15. No candidate, without the special permission of the Centre
Superintendent or the Invigilator concerned, will leave his/her seat or
Examination Room until the full duration of the paper. Candidates must
follow the instructions strictly as instructed by the Centre
Superintendent/Invigilators.

LIST OF QUALIFYING EXAMINATIONS I. The final examination of the 10+2 system, conducted by any recognized central/ state Board, such as Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi; Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations, New Delhi; etc. II. Intermediate or two-year Pre-University examination conducted by a recognized Board/ University. III. Final examination of the two-year course of the Joint Services Wing of the National Defence Academy. IV.
