PEREGRINEPROGRAM is pleased to present a long line, a group exhibition based on a script by Peregrine founder

and former director Edmund Chia. The exhibition is co-‐executed by the new directors of the artist space, Claire

Valdez and Jon Waites. Chia's script is site-‐ and context-‐specific; having to move from Chicago, Peregrine and his

studio, he leaves a long line of text, broken up into 43 parts and distributed to artists for their interpretation, none

of whom are privy to the complete document. Valdez and Waites have arranged the replies—contributions of

surprises and fragments—in this special gathering.
