SEPPIC’s performance materials are manufactured on the site located in Castres, France, which is qualified ISO14001, ISO9001 and OHSAS 18001. The plant, located on an 8-hectare site, employs 300 people and manufactures 600 different products. It operates in synergy with our R&D laboratories located nearby that are equipped with a pilot plant to support the development of new products.

ADJUVANT AIDS FOR CROP PROTECTION PRODUCTS & SEED COATINGS

SEPPIC’s surfactants help to increase the effectiveness of plant protection formulas: ● SIMULSOL SL alkyl polyglucosides (APG) and SEPIGREEN ethoxylated rapeseed oils form stable emulsions and improve wetting and spreading properties. ● SIMULSOL P fatty alcohol ethoxylates and SIMALINE WO polymeric surfactant are used as dispersing and emulsifying agents. ● ORAMIX L 30 sarcosinate derivative is an electrolyte tolerant wetting aid. ● MONTANE sorbitan esters are efficient emulsifiers. ● SOLAGUM and SIMULGEL rheology modifiers enhance particles suspension in order to achieve stable products throughout storage. ● KURARAY POVAL polyvinyl alcohols (PVOH) and EXCEVAL ethylene vinyl alcohol copolymers (EVOH) from KURARAY are distributed in France by SEPPIC as binders for seed coatings. ● Crop protection products wrapped in water-soluble MOWIFLEX TC films can be handled safely and the user is protected against toxic substances. ● MONTALINE SP CV is a process aid for superphosphate manufacturing that allows having drier and more friable superphosphates with smaller particle size distribution.

OIL FIELD

● MONTAGEL grades of crosslinked polyacrylamides are used for active treatments for water shutoff and sand control in offshore and onshore oil and gas fields. MONTAGEL BP 50 is classified as non-toxic and fully biodegradable by the Offshore Chemical Notification Scheme (OCNS) organization that regulates the use of chemicals in the North Sea.● SIMULSOL SL alkyl polyglucosides (APG) can be part of lubricant formulations due to their stability at every pH, at high brine concentration and at high temperatures (up to 121°C). They can be added in various formulations to improve foaming, wettability and lubricity or boost other surfactant properties through solubility enhancement. ● SIMULSOL SL 11 W and SIMULSOL AS 48 are gold rated by the OCNS organization and SIMULSOL SL 8 is silver rated. These alkyl polyglucosides can be employed as platform, well bore or tanks cleaners. SIMULSOL SL 55 is used for its effectiveness in emulsifying and degreasing.● MONTANE sorbitan esters are used as emulsifying, antifoaming and suspending agents.● Formulations combining SIMULSOL SL and MONTANE are used for Surfactant flood Enhanced Oil Recovery (SEOR). ● SOLAMINE 129 is a water soluble corrosion inhibitor for crude or waterlines. ● SIMALINE polymeric surfactants are designed to formulate and stabilize water in oil (W/O) emulsions. They are suitable to emulsify high viscosity and low polarity oils.● SEPPIC has developed an expertise in foaming agents that can be used in drilling, stimulation or

● ORAMIDE is a range of fatty acids derivatives of diethanolamine (DEA) and monoethanolamide (MEA). They have lubricant, corrosion inhibition and emulsifying properties which are beneficial for formulations like metalworking fluids amongst others.

DUST BINDING

● KURARAY POVAL polyvinyl alcohol (PVOH) grades 47-88 & 28-99 have a high molecular weight, which prevents the dust from spreading.

WATER AND TUNNEL DRILLING

● SEPPIC FOAM ER is a free flowing foaming liquid made up of a blend of biodegradable surface active agents specially formulated for water well drilling or mineral exploration holes, using the rotary or the downhole hammer technique.

ADMIXTURES FOR CEMENT, CONCRETE & PLASTER

● SIMULSOL SL alkyl polyglucosides (APG) can help improve the workability and the mechanical properties of concrete formulations. ● SEPPIC’s foaming agents can also contribute to the development of specialized concrete formulations: light, isolating, architectural. ● SOLAGUM rheology modifiers may be added to demolding formulations.● SIMALINE polymeric surfactants can be used to form stable cement dispersions making possible for instance the synthesis of polymers for Cement hybrid materials with High Internal Phase Emulsion (CHIPE).● KURARAY POVAL polyvinyl alcohols (PVOH) can be employed to improve cement or plaster suspensions stability and to improve concrete resistance to water and air.

FIRE FIGHTING FOAM

● SIMULSOL SL 8, B 865 and SL 826, alkyl polyglucosides (APG) are used for their long lasting and dense foam. They also have foam boosting properties when associated with fluorosurfactants for Aqueous Film Forming Foam (AFFF) concentrates. ● SIMULSOL SL 11 W is added to the fire fighting foam formulation as a wetting agent. ● SOLAGUM rheology modifiers can increase the viscosity of foams and improve their cling-time on vertical surfaces (trees or walls).

CORROSION INHIBITION

● SOLAMINE 129 is a water soluble blend of cationic and non-ionic surfactants that protects metal surfaces immerged in oil or water lines. It is effective in fresh water as well as in brines containing CO2 and H2S. It is used, for example, in geothermal energy production.● ORAMIDE range of fatty acids derivatives of diethanolamine (DEA) and monoethanolamide (MEA) are used for their lubricant, corrosion inhibition and emulsifying properties.

FILLING GEL FOR FIBER OPTIC CABLES

● SEPIGEL H 200 LWT gel contains a hydrogen scavenger that constitutes the ultimate protection of fiber optic cables, thus preventing malfunctions and increasing its useful lifetime.

POLISHES

● SOLAGUM rheology modifiers are used to achieve smooth, stable emulsions of polish formulations in any form: liquid, sprayable, pourable paste, thick wipe-on, brush-on paste.

● SOLAGUM AX is a 100% bio-sourced grade that can be processed at cold temperatures.

● SIMULSOL SL 11 W alkyl polyglucoside (APG) is used to stabilize oil in water (O/W) emulsions and wettability during spraying of polishes on miscellaneous surfaces.

ANTISTATIC ADDITIVES

● DELESTAT is a halogen free antistatic agent that improves the conductivity of polymers like polyurethane. It is easy to use due to its high active content and low viscosity even at low temperatures.

HOUSEHOLD, INSTITUTIONAL & INDUSTRIAL DETERGENTS (HI&I)

● SIMULSOL SL is a full range of alkyl polyglucosides (APG), non ionic surfactants that offer a broad range of properties: hydrotrope, wetting, foaming, solubilizing, degreasing. All grades are readily biodegradability. They are suitable to clean plastics as they do not cause any stress cracking.● SIMULSOL SL 7 G (APG) is a hydrotrope that provides very good alkaline resistance (up to 48% caustic soda) for industrial detergents. ● SOLAGUM rheology modifiers are used to thicken and emulsify a broad pH range of detergent formulations. ● MONTANE sorbitan esters are added as lipophilic water in oil (W/O) emulsifying agents.● BIOTECHMARINE actives provide moisturizing and calming properties to household detergents.

POLYMERIZATION AIDS

● SIMALINE range stabilizes water in oil (W/O) emulsions. For example in the field of inverse emulsion polymerization for the flocculants industry.● MONTANE sorbitan esters range offers non ionic surfactants for emulsion polymerization processes.● SIMULSOL 546 SN is an anionic surfactant used as stabilizer and wetting agent for emulsion polymerization of acrylic and vinyl acetates dispersions. ● SIMULSOL SL alkyl polyglucoside (APG) grades stabilize oil in water (O/W) emulsions.● KURARAY POVAL polyvinyl alcohol (PVOH) grades are used as suspending agents during the polymerization-in-suspension process.

COATINGS, ADHESIVES & INKS

● MOWITAL polyvinyl butyral (PVB) range is used as a binder for wash primer, varnish for wood and inks formulations. ● KURARAY POVAL polyvinyl alcohols (PVOH) are widely employed as polymerization aids, binders and plasticizers. ● MONTANE sorbitan esters and SIMULSOL SL alkyl polyglucosides (APG) are used to disperse pigments, stabilize systems and improve wood impregnation. ● SIMALINE range allows to easily formulate water in oil (W/O) emulsions. ● SOLAGUM USPI and SOLAGUM SH 210 are added to achieve the right viscosity of paints and maintain all the elements in suspension. ● DELESTAT antistatic agent is used to control the conductivity in the process of coating though electrodeposition.

GLASS FROSTING DECORATION & COATING TREATMENTS

● LERITE glass frosting compounds are used for the decoration of perfume, wine and liquor bottles, lampshades and other glass decorative items. ● IMACA offers the complete range of products and equipment for the Hot-End and Cold-End coating treatments of glass containers.

CAR CARE

TEXTILE & NONWOVENS

● SEPPIC cosmetic actives from BIOTECHMARINE may be incorporated into smart textiles to provide toning, calming and other benefits to the skin.

● SIMULSOL SL alkyl polyglucoside (APG) surfactants may be used for the pretreatment of textiles. ● KURARAY POVAL polyvinyl alcohol (PVOH) grades are employed as sizing agents, allowing the fiber to be protected during the knitting process.● VECTRAN from KURARAY is a high-performance multifilament yarn spun from liquid crystal polymer (LCP). It exhibits exceptional strength and rigidity. Users of protective apparel such as gloves and work wear benefit from excellent cut and stab resistance, elevated temperature resistance, outstanding flex/fold resistance, and durability to multiple wash/dry cycles even in the presence of bleach.

LEATHER

● MONTACELL chromium complexes provide significant water-repellent properties to natural or synthetic leather surfaces. ● SOLAGUM rheology modifiers can emulsify neatsfoot oil to provide a rich leather dressing. ● SIMULSOL SL alkyl polyglucosides (APG) are used to stabilize oil in water emulsion and wet ability during spraying of polishes on miscellaneous surfaces.

● SIMULSOL SL 11 W, with its superior wetting property, can draw emulsified oils beneath the leather’s surface for better moisturization.

PAPER, BOARD & TISSUE

● MONTACELL chromium complex range provides water repellency and release effect. ● KURARAY POVAL polyvinyl alcohol (PVOH) range offers high bonding power, excellent film formation and very good barrier properties. ● KURALON synthetic fiber of polyvinyl alcohol (PVOH) is used as binder or for reinforcement of specialty papers.● ASAHI GUARD new generation of fluorinated agents from AGC are appreciated for improving water and grease resistance of papers and nonwovens. ● KAPPAFLEX from KAPP-CHEMIE, is a full range of flexographic water-based inks as well as KAPPASIL specially designed glues for tissue converting. ● CEREALUS encapsulation technology gives the papermakers the opportunity to reduce raw material costs, improve performance of existing products through the use of either CERECARB or CEREFIBER technologies.

SURFACTANTS

SOLAGUM™ and SIMULGEL™ liquid grades are polymers in inverse emulsion that disperse easily and immediately increase the viscosity of aqueous phases to give non-thixotropic and pseudoplastic gels. SOLAGUM™ EL X powder has outstanding resistance to electrolytes and allows forming clear gels.SOLAGUM™ AX is a fully bio-sourced grade in powder.

SIMULSOL SL 7 G is a highly efficient bio-sourced hydrotrope. What makes it innovative is that it is exclusively plant based and it is manufactured using a process that complies with the principles of green chemistry.The development of effective formulas implies forming complex blends of surfactants, salts and diverse adjuvants. These formulas require the addition of hydrotropes to obtain a mix that is durably homogenous. Today’s products are mainly composed of aromatic sulfonate and phosphate derivatives of petrochemical origin.
