Kay Ridgeway has led a charmed life. Blessed with beauty,

enormous wealth and a new husband, she embarks on a

honeymoon voyage down the Nile. Fatal circumstances

await when the idyllic surroundings are shattered by a

shocking and brutal murder. Under scrutiny is a multitude

of memorable passengers, all with a reason to kill. The ten-

sion and claustrophobia builds, as a shocking and auda-

cious conspiracy is laid bare.

It’s a “big bright beautiful world” as everyone’s favorite ogre,

Shrek, leads a cast of fairytale misfits on an adventure to res-

cue a princess and find true acceptance. Part romance, and

part twisted fairy tale, Shrek The Musical is an irreverently

fun show with a powerful message for the whole family.

WINGS OVER AMERICA: A TRIBUTE TO PAUL MCCARTNEY AND WINGSCOLLECTIVE UNCONSCIOUS

Saturday, October 30, 2021 – 7:30 p.m.

Based on Wings’ 1976 live album “Wings Over

America,” this show becomes a great retrospective

of McCartney’s career and is a celebration of one

of the most legendary careers in the history of pop

and rock music. The concert features songs from

the Beatles, McCartney’s solo albums and Moody

Blues; “I’ve Just Seen a Face,” “Blackbird,” “Yesterday,”

“The Long and Winding Road,” “Go Now,” “Bluebird”

and “Uncle Albert.”

FIRST THURSDAY PUB NIGHT:JEFF RAYThursday, November 4, 2021 – 6 to 9 p.m.

From his days of traveling through Memphis, Ray has

developed a fresh and original “East-meets-West” bluesy

Americana sound. Watch closely and you’ll see his thumb

keep the bass note thumping while he glides a glass

slide seamlessly across the fret board, providing the feel

of two guitar players at the same time. The band also fea-

tures harmonica, bass and washboard – creating energy

and excitement on the stage.

HER MAJESTY’S ROYAL SUBJECTS A TRIBUTE TO QUEENJONNY JAMES AND THE HALL OF FAMESNovember 5 & 6, 2021 – 7:30 p.m.

Queen was one of the most popular, ambitious and be-

loved classic rock bands ever. Now you can hear their

music live with all the energy, extravagance and rock

you can handle. Featuring hits like “Bohemian Rhap-

sody,” “Another One Bites the Dust,” “Somebody to Love,”

“We Will Rock You” and many more. Performed by Jonny

James and the Hall of Fames, the band that brought you

“The Song Remains the Same” (Led Zeppelin), and Pink

Floyd’s, “Dark Side of the Moon and Other Floydian Tales.”

THE REGIFTERSEXPRESSIONS COMMUNITY THEATERNovember 12 & 13, 18 – 20, 2021 – 7 p.m.

When a couple “regifts” a not-so-great Christmas

present, then finds out it’s worth a fortune, they

will stop at nothing to get it back. But they’re not

the only ones who rewrapped it… In the mad pur-

suit to reclaim the gift, everyone who gave it away

learns about friendship, real wealth and the value of

a gift truly given.

MINI-NUTCRACKERTWIN CITIES BALLETTuesday, November 30, 2021 – 11 a.m. & 6 p.m.

The Mini-Nutcracker is a delightful abbreviated

version of Twin Cities Ballet’s classic, “A Minnesota

Nutcracker,” designed to introduce children to the

magic of this family favorite. This beloved holiday

tradition with soaring music by Tchaikovsky

promises to hold the attention of even the youngest

theatergoer. Suitable for all ages, this version is less

than an hour and is performed by cast members

from Twin Cities Ballet’s full-length production. A

perfect holiday mini-treat!

ta, a town known for great music. The band combines

ate a fun and eclectic evening of music. Playing a vari-

ety of popular acoustic covers of current Top 40 songs

to classic and folk rock, such as the Lumineers, Avett

Brothers, Fleetwood Mac and the Indigo Girls.

varied colors, themes and textures, from D’Rivera’s

sultry “Aires Tropicales” to “Nash’s” compelling “Stop

for Equity,” a brand-new work written for Chione.

Join TCB’s professional ballet dancers at the Lakeville Area Arts Cen-

ter for a fun-filled interactive performance event designed for fami-

lies and children ages preschool through eight. The programs are

less than an hour long—the perfect length for busy schedules and

curious minds.

”Dance With Me” highlights age and ability appropriate body move-

ment using different forms of dance, and features unique monthly

themes, short dance classes, optional audience participation, and

short performance demonstrations in costume by TCB’s profession-

Collective Unconscious once again “drops the needle” on

another classic rock album, this time the 1970 release from

Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young: “Déjá Vu.” You’ll hear hits like

On,” as well as a pulse-pounding rendition of “Almost Cut

Matilda is an elementary-aged bookworm with a TV-worshiping dad

and self-obsessed mum. Her home-life leads her to the local library

where she recites stories of acrobatic performers who long for a

child. When Matilda starts school, she finds herself enrolled under the

evil Headmistress Ms. Trunchbull. When Ms. Trunchbull’s backwards

teaching tactics go too far, it’s up to Matilda to save the day. This unforgettable tale combines upbeat

music with snappy choreography and a touch of dark humor. Matilda teaches audiences that “even if

the community he made famous as “the worst place to live in

Pottery, Painting & MOREThe arts center brings together people of all ages and skill levels through a variety of art mediums. Our

instructors provide a warm and welcoming environment in which students are encouraged to grow

and learn in their creative endeavors.

ADULT ART CLASSESPOTTERY: WHEEL THROWING & HANDBUILDINGDemonstrations will cover handbuilding and

wheel throwing techniques for all levels. Stu-

dents work at their own pace with both individu-

alized and group instruction.

OIL OR ACRYLIC PAINTINGAll skill levels are welcome in this step-by-step

approach to painting. Learn to express your

own artistic voice and hone your personal style

through one-on-one guidance. By the end of

class, you will complete one or two paintings in

your choice of oil or acrylics.

WATERCOLOR PAINTINGCome and explore the wonder of watercolor

by learning the fundamentals and techniques

of this exciting medium. Demonstrations and a

wide range of subject matter will help you gain

self-confidence. By the end of the session you

can expect to go home with two or three com-

pleted paintings.

SPECIALTY WORKSHOPSThe workshops are designed to offer a variety of

mediums such as silver clay jewelry, Zentangle,

knitting, art journaling and much more.

learn how to throw on the wheel. In each class,

students will create a variety of hand-thrown

pots complete with a glazed finish. No experi-

ence necessary.

HOMESCHOOL ART SAMPLER / POTTERY WHEEL & HANDBUILDINGTry your hand at a variety of art forms and see

what you enjoy most! Sample studio art projects

in pottery, painting, drawing, print and sculpture.
