Introduction/ImportanceIntroduction/Importance

• Global warming is important because it effects the life on Earth.

• It also effects the economy with unpredictable weather patterns.

• I was interested in the topic ever since I learned about the 2012 apocalypse and realized that global warming plays a big part.

Thesis StatementThesis Statement

• Global warming is an increasing issue in the 21st century that effects everyone that lives on Earth: it is drastically altering the future of life if precautions aren’t taken soon, such as:

• Recycling

• Using different methods of transportation

• Using clean energy and using it wisely

RecyclingRecycling

• Different type of recycling: plastic, paper, metal, glass, textiles, and electronics

• Provides cleaner air and reduces greenhouse gases.

• Prevents pollution in air, dirt, and water.

Using different methods of Using different methods of transportationtransportation

• Driving hybrid cars will reduce air pollution and CO2.

• Carpooling is an inexpensive way to reduce greenhouse gas.

• Finding a carpooling party isn’t always easy, public transportation is the same as carpooling.

Hybrid carsHybrid cars

• More mileage per gallon

• Less pollution and carbon dioxide emission

• More efficient and energy is a renewable resource, if its clean.

• Switching to wind-powered generators.

• Wind power is constantly growing, many states and countries have switched.

• Use energy saving light bulbs: fluorescent. Source: TreeHugger.com

Wind power vs. Coal power plantsWind power vs. Coal power plants

Wind power• No pollution• Renewable resource

• Requires large amounts of space.

Coal power plants• Tons of pollution

emitted and greenhouse gases.

• Nonrenewable resource

• Doesn’t require large amount of space to build.

Final ThoughtsFinal Thoughts

• People need to take action soon before there is a point of no return.

• Countries need to make an agreement to lessen carbon dioxide.

• Global warming has the life on Earth at stake.
