Music Affects on the Brain and Education

Music has always been a big part of my life.

Constantly I heard that it can improve your brain.

Curiosity took over and I knew that this was the topic for me.

Why?

Taking a part in a music program at school or taking private lessons can affect your brain greatly and improve your learning, memory, speech, and language skills.

Not as important as other subjects: math, reading….ect.

No beneficial information is learned.

Pro’s and Con’s of Funding Music Programs

Con’s

Researchers discovered better process of speech in noisy classrooms.

Differentiate language and the change of tone in a human voice.

Playing an Instrument

Listening to music can make a task seem easier.

Soothing music helps thinkingA positive attitude that provides

motivation.

A Different Type of an Affect

Increase in size and number of nerve cells in the auditory, motor, and visual spatial areas.

Have better memory and enhanced verbal memory.

Brain gets trained to use multiple areas in order to remember.

Musicians and Their Brains

Easier to learn another language due to trained ears.

Children musicians have stronger neural activation to pitch changes in speech.

Musicians and Their Brains con’t.

Being involved in music has amazing advantages.

Expands brain capabilities that are helpful in education.

Music improves memory , speech, and language skills.

Helps to learn new languages.

Conclusion
