Why Schizophrenia is Important to Me?

• I chose Schizophrenia to be my topic because I studied last year in Psychology and thought it was interesting.

• I think Schizophrenia is important to because of what I learned so far, it seems pretty interesting on what it does on the human mind.

• I hope to learn how does it really affect people from this paper.

• The Symptoms of Schizophrenia are:• Hallucinations and illusions

• Disordered thinking

• Lack of emotional expression

• Inappropriate reactions

How Schizophrenia is Treated

• Schizophrenia is treated by:• Antipsychotic medications

• Rehabilitation

• Family support

• And as well as from antipsychotic medications

Diagnosed

• There is no specific method that Schizophrenia can be diagnosed. But researchers can use these methods according to their symptoms.

• Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI)• Positron emission tomography (PET)• Single-photon emission computed tomography (SPECT)

Conclusion

• These were the main points of my paper that I researched:

I learned that Schizophrenia can cause a lot of distress to families and friends. It has a lot of unknown theories that researchers still can’t find the solution to.
