Satelec® presents the Perio PrecisionTM kit of three ultrasonic tips for treating periodontalpockets, developed under the close guidance of a team of renowned practitioners.

Consisting of straight micro-tip - TK1-1S – and two curved curettes with left and right angles(P2L and P2R), the Perio PrecisionTM kit makes it possible to carry out a complete ultrasonicpocket treatment, even when the periodontium is very thin.

These are the finest instruments available today, ideal for the debridement of thinperiodontia and for cleaning the tightest interproximal spaces, especially betweenoverlapping crowns and root systems.

“ “The P2 tips are very easy to manipulate and shed a new light on non-surgical therapy. Most importantly theyare very fine and hard-wearing.I have been using them for about a year for maintenance treatment at low power. My patients notice a lotless sensitivity than with “regular” tips and even less than with hand instruments.I also use them as initial therapy in cases of moderate periodontitis with little subgingival calculus, and theresults are excellent. Thanks to their small size and easy manipulation, there is less risk of damaging the epithelial attachmentand soft tissue heals faster because there is less damage than with larger curettes. They now form part of my daily routine.

“ “The double curving and the fine working end of the tip allow atraumatic debridement of narrow pockets andelimination of deposits from interproximal spaces between crowns and roots that were inaccessible until now. Having the tip marking makes it possible to decontaminate and probe quickly, at the same time. However, the PerioPrecision micro-tips should always be protected by their dynamometric wrenches to avoid therisk of bending them, as this would detract from their efficiency. A precise movement is necessary to avoid tissue damage and a precise vibration is key in removing the small hardand soft deposits that commonly cause the development of calculus.

This kit of micro-tips is delivered in an autoclavable box with three green dynamometric wrenches which correspond to thelow ultrasonics power setting, in accordance to the Satelec® Color Coding System (“green” or “perio” mode). The wrenchesalso protect the tips from accidental bending and misplacement.

The TK1-1S is designed to reach the bottom of even the deepest, narrowest pockets and its marking at 3mm intervals promotesits use as a probe to measure pocket depth. Thanks to the cavitation effect produced by irrigation under ultrasonics, theTK1-1S will gently disorganize and eliminate biofilm and small blocks of calculus along the root surface, following the pocket’smorphology. Low amplitude of the ultrasonics helps preserve the practitioner's tactile sense.

The P2L and P2R are double curved, the angle of the central part is open to allow easy access of the instrument’s workingpart to distal pockets. At the end of the tip, the curve is very similar to that of universal curettes and the rounded sectionof the working part has an extremely fine diameter of 0.25 mm, which enables it to penetrate even the most narrow anddifficult-to-reach areas.
