• Collaborative partnership of local, state, and federal agencies and others addressing the broad range of trash, sediment, and debris issues over the entire Tijuana River Valley watershed.

• Four Action Teams formed Fall 2008:

Tijuana River Valley Recovery TeamAction Teams and Mandates

• Border Action Team: Develop and implement solutions on California side that will capture and divert trash, tires, and sediment before it reaches the Tijuana River Valley.

• Cleanup Action Team: Characterize and cleanup trash, tires, and manage sediment in the Tijuana River channel.

• Restoration Action Team: Develop and implement restoration, mitigation, and flood control features of the Tijuana River Valley ecosystem.

• Bi-National Action Team: Identify sources of trash, tires, and sediment in the Tijuana River Valley watershed that impact the floodplain and recommend, establish, and implement a plan to abate and manage these sources in cooperation with Mexican agencies.
