Before we were able to find the culprit of the crime as a group, it was necessary to complete a series of tasks. When first faced with the crime scene, it was important to access the information provided. To find this information we decided to measure as many aspects of the details available. We decided the measurements from the gun powder to the wall and the distance from the floor to the window were the most important. However it was it was not enough to solve the crime. On the second sheet of information it was listed that a bullet was in a sign some distance away from the open window. In order to find the perpetrator of the crime, it was necessary to find how far way the sing was from the house and how high the bullet was from the ground. This information was then given to us. We concluded that because the powder on the floor was green the nerf gun used had to be Zombie Strike Slingfire Blastergun. On the second sheet the speed of the bullet was listed to be 6OO f/s. By adding the distance from the pile of powder to the window and the window to the sign, we were able to get the distance from the powder to the sign. We were able to use in all of the information collected as factors in a generic projectile motion problem. We then were able to solve it with the given equations.

Method

We figured that the 4.38859 feet, which was found to be the Yo, was where the gun was positioned and not the actual height of the individual. We decided to measure the distance from shoulder to head of every member of PMS and rounded it to be approximately one foot. By adding one foot to the answer found, we concluded that the height of the culprit had to be near 5.388595 feet. We used the paper given to us listing possible suspects and their heights to conclude that the person who committed this crime was none other then the 5foot 5inches of Harley Gleim.

Our team assumed that the gun was used at directly under where the gun powder was found, in a horizontal manor. The distance from the powder to the window and the distance from the window to the powder was assumed to be approximate distances. Also, in concluding the height of the perpetrator our team assumed an extra foot added on to the height of the calculations made. This is because the calculations gave us the height of the person to the shoulder. Assuming the height from the shoulder to the head to be approximately a foot. With the extra foot added on to the calculations height, we concluded the perpetrator to be Harley Gleim.

Assumptions

Today we come into this court room believing that Harley Gleim is guilty. As expert physicists. We have come to the conclusion, from analysis and physical findings that it was indeed Gleim. With a 5'5” stature was the perfect suspect for the crime. There were many other suspects but as our team funneled down the list of suspects it became apparent it was him. Height played the biggest role in this case, in our opinion. If you were not the exact height the angle at which the nerf bullet hit the sign and where it hit on the sign would have been completely botched in regards of what we acquired from our earlier analysis. His hate for that television must have been something psychological also, but we cannot go any deeper information with that because we were only sent to analyze the scene and not his sub-conscience. Now jury it is your time, it is your decision, chose wisely. We've provided the facts now its your turn to decide whether he is guilty or not guilty of this heinous act. Remember who the victim really is here, the one that can not be with us today, that can't speak on it's own behalf. Remember who pulled the trigger and caused all of this!
