INF Fundraising Director
Salary: 42,000 + 7% pension contribution
Hours: Full-time, though part-time might be considered for the right candidate
Annual Leave: 26 days p.a. (to include period between Christmas and New Year),
increasing to 30 days after 4 years
Reports to: Chief Executive Officer
Location: Selly Oak, Birmingham, UK
Background
The International Nepal Fellowship UK (INF/UK) needs to increase its fundraising over the next
three years by at least 350,000 p.a. To achieve this it is recruiting a Fundraising Director tolead its UK fundraising team.
This is a newly created post, which will give the person appointed an opportunity to shape the
role. It is envisaged that this will be a full-time position, but applications from those seeking a
part-time post might be considered.
INF is a Christian mission responding to the physical and spiritual needs of Nepali people,
primarily through health and development work. It is made up of a number of organisations
registered in various countries. They work together as one towards a common vision and
mission.
INF/UK is the largest of the INF supporting organisations outside of Nepal.
Description of the role
Purpose:
To grow fundraising net income for the work of the mission.
Key accountabilities:
1. Accountable to the Chief Executive Officer of INF/UK.2. Accountable for the human and financial resources under their control.Primary responsibilities:
1. To achieve agreed targets for net unrestricted and restricted funds.2. To grow, develop and lead the Fundraising Team to deliver agreed targets.3. To act as deputy to the Chief Executive in his absence.4. To develop and implement a balanced fundraising strategy, initially focusing on growing a
sustainable personal donor base, and developing relationships with and through churches to
secure funds, engagement, and prayer support.
5. To ensure that fundraising processes enable the team to do their work effectively.

6. To explore and use opportunities to maximise fundraisingby INF UKs international partners,supporting them in identifying and adopting good practice.
7. To ensure all aspects of fundraising and the fundraising team are in harmony with the wholeof the INF/UK office, and lead in a way that promotes a one office, mutually supportive
culture.
8. To develop a marketing strategy that includes fundraising, volunteer recruitment and thedevelopment of prayer support.
9. To take an active role in the spiritual life of the organisation and ensure all initiatives fit withINFs ethos, values, mission and vision.
10.To develop a growing understanding of, and engagement with, the work of INF, includingvisits to Nepal and elsewhere as necessary.
Person Specification
Essential Desirable
Experience and knowledge:
Extensive experience of fundraising with
demonstrable success
Proven track record of, and technical skills in,
major donor fundraising, individual giving,
fundraising from and through churches, or other
relevant fundraising disciplines
Demonstrable track record of building
genuine, open, and individualisedsupporter relationships with a wide range
of people
An ability to represent an organisation in a way
that inspires donors and supporters, gaining andmaintaining their trust and confidence
A leadership style that inspires a small
team to perform at a consistently high
level
Experience of strategic leadership in a fundraising
environment
