16. Golfing activities : Harsh picked up the golf club for the first time at the age of 3

years at Army Golf Club Mathura and at the age of 7 years he started playing the course and started participating in IGU (Indian Golf Union) junior national circuit.

ACHIEVEMENTS IN GOLF

1. Participated in “Central Comd Children Sports Champ 2006” at Lucknow and inspite of being the youngest player of the tournament secured 2nd position in ‘under 14 yrs age group’ as well as

‘overall golf event’. Awarded a cash prize of Rs 1500 by Mrs Kiran Nandrajog, President, AWWA HQ Central Comd.

2. Represented Central Comd in Mission Olympics final selection trials conducted in 2006 and

2007 at Army Golf Course Dhaulakuan.

3. Winner in UB Area Sports Championship in Golf in 2007 and selec ted to represent UB Area in

Central Command Children Sports Championship in Lucknow.

4. Runners Up in Central Command Children Sports Championship held in Lucknow in 2007. Awarded a cash prize of Rs 1500 by Lt Gen Gautam Dutt, COS, HQ Central Command

Lucknow.

5. Runners Up in his category i.e. Cat D in 3rd Delhi Golf Club Junior tournament 2008 (IGU

tournament).

6. Won the UB Area Junior golf championship held in Meerut in Jul 2008. A cash prize of Rs 5000 awarded alongwith the trophy by Maj Gen DS Chauhan, GOC, UB Area Bareilly.

7. Won Central Command Golf championship (Junior) in Aug 2008 and selected to represent Central Command at Army Golf Zone Championship at Army Golf Course Dhaulakuan held in

Sep 08.

8. Secured 3rd position in Army Golf Zone Championship at Army Golf Course Dhaulakuan held in Sep 08. The championship is a national level event for children of army personnel upto 16 yrs of

age.
