Personality disorders, formerly referred to as character disorders, are a class of personality types and behaviors.
This behavior can result in maladaptive coping skills, which may lead to personal problems that induce extreme anxiety, distress or depression.

Borderline personality disorder
Is a personality disorder described as a prolonged disturbance of personality function in a person, characterized by
depth and variability of moods. The disorder typically involves unusual levels of instability or splitting; the
disorder often manifests chaotic and unstable interpersonal relationships,
self-image, identity, and behavior.

Histrionic personality disorderIs characterized by a pattern of
excessive emotionality and attention-seeking, including an excessive need for approval and inappropriately seductive behavior, usually beginning in early adulthood. These individuals are lively, dramatic, vivacious, enthusiastic, and flirtatious.
They may be inappropriately sexually provocative, express strong emotions with an impressionistic style. Associated features may include egocentrism, self-indulgence, continuous longing for appreciation, and persistent manipulative behavior to achieve their own needs.

Narcissistic personality disorder
Is a personality disorder in which the individual is described as being excessively preoccupied with issues of personal adequacy, power, prestige and vanity.
Narcissistic personality disorder is closely linked to self-centeredness.

Avoidant personality disorder(or anxious personality disorder).

Dependent personality disorder
Formerly known as asthenic personality disorder, is characterized by a pervasive psychological dependence on other people. This personality disorder is a long-term (chronic) condition in which people depend too much on others to meet their emotional and physical needs.

Obsessive–compulsive personality disorder

(also known as melancholic personality disorder) is a controversial psychiatric diagnosis that denotes a personality disorder with depressive features.

Passive–aggressive behavior
A personality trait, is passive, sometimes obstructionist resistance to following through with expectations in interpersonal or occupational situations. It is a personality trait marked by a pervasive pattern of negative attitudes and passive, usually disavowed, resistance in interpersonal or occupational situations.
