1 Starting A trainee teacher of English taking initial training (or an unqualified but practising teacher of English.)

You are studying for an initial teaching qualification

You are intending to become a teacher of English, at primary, general secondary, vocational, higher school or in the private language school sector

So far you have limited practical teaching experience

A course for newly-qualified teachers of English at stage 2 on the CPD framework

The course covers 10 topics which new teachers of English commonly need help with during their first two years of training

The course helps newly-qualified teachers revise what they have learnt in initial training and put key concepts and techniques into practice

There is an option for a tutor to assess the portfolio of tasks that participants produce during the course, and receive a certificate of attainment
