PES School of Management conducts industry-oriented applied research in all functional areas of

In 1972, PES was founded with just over 40 students in

a rented gymnasium at Bangalore. Today, PES has more

than 15,000 students spread across four different

campuses in Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh. PES Group

today runs programs ranging from Pre-University to Post

Graduation. PES Institution of Technology (PESIT) isSouth East Asia's first ISO 9002 certified Educational

Institution.

Department of Management Studies is a part of the

Peoples Education Society (PES) Group of Institutions

founded by Prof. M.R. Doreswamy in 1972 and is under

the leadership of Prof. D. Jawahar (CEO, PES group),

with the objective of developing an institution offering

need-based education.

in the U.S. and has attracted students from every significant

region of the world, including India. I am pleased that we

have been able to offer the same MBA degree on the

campus of PES, Bangalore, India since 2005 with the help of

full-time Ph.D. faculty from IUP. The faculty members

possess excellent teaching, scholarly and industry credentials.This program is designed to provide students a rigorous MBA

program from an AACSB-accredited U.S. business school.

Students have the option of completing their MBA in

Bangalore or finishing the specialization courses on IUP's

main campus in Indiana, PA. Nearly 99% of the over 200

students who have applied have secured their U.S. visas. It is

heartening to see that many of the alumni have established

successful careers in leading organizations in the U.S. as well

as in India.

The diversity of the classroom in this program is unparalleled

in the Indian context--faculty with origins and experiences

from every major region of the world and exchange students

from the U.S., Germany, France, Taiwan and other parts of

Europe and Asia. The student body in the Bangalore

program itself is growingly diverse with students from several

the E-MBA is designed to enhance your analytical, managerial, and decision-making skills

The E-MBA program prepares each individual to accept increased responsibilities in general management. The curriculum

Bloomberg Lab

The Eberly College holds a license for twelve Bloomberg

terminals. A critical and common business tool, the

Bloomberg terminal provides students with training infinancial and investment analysis, bank and corporate

management, and personal finance. Bloomberg provides

specialized certifications for the various analytical packagesavailable under the Bloomberg license. These certifications

are widely respected by financial institutions and industrial

corporations. Bloomberg certification requirements areintegrated into most Finance major courses.

Student Managed Investment Portfolio

Many business schools offer their students experience with formal investing by using

scrip money or simulation, but thats not how IUP students learn about the world of

finance. The Student Managed Investment Portfolio project affords students realmoney - fronted by the Foundation of IUP - for real investing. The SMIP membership,

consisting of Finance, Accounting, and Economics majors, is chosen by the faculty and

has a minimum grade-point average of 3.0. In addition to the portfolio manager, astudent team leader and lead analyst oversee the balance of the team.

Computer Labs

Eberly Colleges seven computer labs allow faculty members to

incorporate hands-on learning inside the classroom. Each lab features

a unique configuration that best accommodates the type of coursestaught in the labs. The public computer lab is open late into the night,

benefitting students working on projects and exams.

ALUMNI NETWORKING EVENTS

The Business Advisory Council comprises prominentbusiness leaders. Every semester, the council meets with

students and faculty members of the Eberly College.

Advisory council members offer information on the currentbusiness environment and advice to students on how best

to prepare for the workplace.

BUSINESS ADVISORY COUNCIL

Eberly holds an annual Business Day every year in thespring. It is held in the Kovalchick Convention and Athletic

Complex, a state-of-the-art facility located next to Eberly.

The day begins with the opportunity for students to attend

panel discussions with local business leaders and distinguishedalumni and is followed by an open networking session and

luncheon. Business Day allows students to meet alumniand executives to network for possible internship and

career opportunities.

How does this course differ from other MBA courses?

Many MBA programs in the U.S., U.K., Australia, India, etc. havemoved towards 1-year and 18-month programs. Even IIMs, S.P.

Jain and few other institutions in India are offering 1-year MBA

programs now. Such programs are conducted at no expense ofquality or content. This is quite evident by glancing through our

program outline, the course content and the syllabi. The design

and scheduling of the program has been structured efficiently toenable students to enter the corporate world in 18 months.

Students who wished to experience the complete experience ofinternship and/or dual speci alizati on in the U.S. at IUP, have taken

two full years to complete their MBA.

What is the duration of this course?

The course duration is 18 months. However a student may opt

to graduate after one year with a General MBA or may also optfor dual specialization/ concentration at IUP, USA

It is a fulltime MBA degree from Indiana University of

IUP is accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate

If you go to IUP directly in the U.S., you will be spendingapproximately three times of what you would if you do it

through this collaboration with PES in Bangalore. But in the IUP

program at PES, you still have the opportunity to spend onesemester at IUP or a partner university of IUP worldwide. You

will have best of both worldsaffordability plus the experienceof education in India and in the U.S. Also, if for some reason, you

cannot go to the U.S., you may complete your entire U.S. MBA

degree in India. Finally, you can get the assistance of either orboth placement services of PES and IUP in India and U.S.
