Pacific Architects and Engineering, West Palm Beach, FL Oct 2000 to June 2015Engineer in Charge (EIC), Underwater Target DronesCivilian contractor position working with the Department of Defense (DOD) supporting United States Navy Anti-Submarine Warfare (ASW) training and testing requirements. Provided day-to-day engineering support over a team of fifteen professionals. Delegated work duties and assignments, evaluated individual performance, and implemented professional development to enhance skills supporting the success of the program. Coordinated project activities with production line and logistics personnel, Target System Controllers, Target Analysts, and Launch Masters. The EIC position was designated as a key personnel position responsible as point of contact for multiple groups including the Marine Department, Weapons Department, Test Operations, Range Operations, Range Safety, Environmental Safety and Health, and the Calibration Lab. Advised key range test stakeholders of the Underwater Target Drones technical capabilities during complex naval exercises.

As the Northeast Territory Manager I was responsible for all business activity between company and customers within the New England states and New York. Prior to my hiring territory had no equipment sales or installations.

Researched and identified all potential customers by region and industry. Developed sales and marketing plan to achieve territory goals. Made cold calls to over fifty potential customers. Provided customers optimum production system layouts of equipment. Developed cost reduction, and production increase forecasts with customers. Sold approximately $1,000,000 of packaging equipment in Territory Attended international packaging machinery trade show in Paris, France.

Zygote was a start-up company that competed in a very competitive industrial packaging equipment market. As a co-owner I was actively involved in all phases of the business from engineering, manufacturing, assembly, customer relations, sales, marketing and equipment installation.

Company engineered, designed, manufactured, integrated and installed automatic weighing,bag handling, filling, conveying and palletizing systems for the multi-wall industrial bag packaging industry. Company territory included North and South America and Mexico.

As Product Manager I was responsible for one-third of the companies total annual sales of $30,000,000). My responsibilities included, new equipment and new productfeature development and cost analysis, company/customer relations, outside sales technical support, marketing, cost analysis for each system sold, financial performance of the product line, and trade show attendance in the United States and Canada.

Annually achieved highest rating on performance reviews. Was a key member of the ISO 9000 company achievement process in the late 1980’s. Actively involved in top-to-bottom company cost reduction program resulting in

significant cost savings through elimination of labor duplication and streamlining the P.O. through equipment delivery process. Involved in JIT, Lean and Six-Sigma projects.
