    *erosene side stream ?ith the gas oil side stream@ #iesel fuel is used to !o?er diesel

    engines in buses; truc*s; automobiles; and other machinery@ +t is also used to fire

    industrial and electric utility boilers@

    Heavy uel il

    Heavy fuel oil other?ise called residual fuel oil is com!rised mainly of

    atmos!heric !i!e still bottoms blended ?ith heavy virgin na!htha and vacuum gas oil to

    !roduce the final heavy fuel oil !roduct@ Fhe !rimary mar*et for this !roduct is the

    electric utility com!anies ?ho use residual fuel oil to generate electricity@ "uch of the

    ca!acity for electricity generation is oil4fired; so !etroleum use by utilities is eA!ected to
