“Keeping Workers’ Compensation Costs Under Control with Integrated Injury Management”Meeting Room 2Larry Readout – MBA, CSP, Senior Engineer, EMC Insurance Companies
It’s no secret that workers’ compensation (WC) claims lead the way when we look at insurance claim costs for members of the association’s insurance program. Then consider only three accident types account for 75% of the WC claim costs; overexertion, slip/fall, and fall from elevation. Larry will discuss focusing your safety efforts on these accident types and discuss managing the cost of injuries that do occur. Learn how following this approach can help control WC expenses for your company and the association’s dividend. “DOT Security” Meeting Room 3Jim Fox – MN Department of Transportation
In response to the 9/11/01 terrorist attacks, US DOT required Shipper and Transporters of certain types/quantities of hazardous materials (HM) to develop and implement transportation security plans. Those requirements went into effect September 25, 2003. This session will be a review of those requirements including: Who needs a security plan, elements of a security plan and, employee training requirements (both security awareness and in-depth security.) Also discussed will be the Transportation Security Administration’s requirements for background checks for drivers with an HM endorsement on their CDL. “EMV Requirements for Credit Card Processing”Meeting Room 4 Chris Francis – Vice President Market Development for World Pay
