PETRO-­‐PIPE  CURTAIN  APPLICATION    

SPI  Liner  System  with  Petro-­‐Pipe®  for  Oil  Spill  Containment  

 

 

SPI  liner  Petro-­‐Pipe®  system  is  laid  out  during  installation,  Petro-­‐

Pipe®  housing  installed  through  liner.  

 

Petro-­‐Pipes®  are  mounted  directly  in  the  liner  forming  a  water/oil  tight  

seal.  This  application  has  the  Petro-­‐Pipe®  housing  pipe  with  a  4”  female  

connector  to  attach  drainage  pipe.  

 

The  filter  cage  is  attached  to  the  liner  for  dirt  and  debris.  The  solid  top  lifts  up  to  remove  filter  material  and  the  whole  basket  rotates  up  from  

the  base  of  the  liner  to  remove  and  replace  the  Petro-­‐Pipe®  insert.  

 

The  liner  is  back  filled  with  crushed  stone  and  the  drainage  pipe  is  

connected  to  the  Petro-­‐Pipe®  housing.  

Another  installation  of  the  SPI  Liner  Petro-­‐Pipe®  and  Filter  Cage.    The  liner  is  back  filled  with  crushed  stone  which  also  acts  as  a  dirt  filter.  

 

Drainage  line  is  attached  to  back  of  Petro-­‐Pipe®  and  is  sent  to  a  Storm  water  drain.  

 

After  two  years  the  transformer  substation  is  checked,  the  grass  had  grown  in  and  the  Petro-­‐Pipes®  are  checked.  

 

The  filter  cage  lid  is  raised  and  filter  floss  is  removed  allowing  the  Petro-­‐Pipe®  to  be  checked,  drainage  is  excellent  and  the  Petro-­‐Pipe®  is  

working  as  designed.
