Out of State Orders
Plaintiff not required to register out of state protection orders in Pennsylvania All protection orders issued in any U.S. court are enforceable in all StatesOut of state orders CANNOT be entered into PFADFax copy of order to PA State Police and local law enforcement if plaintiff requests copies be distributed
Emergency PFAs
Issued by a Magisterial District Judge -- not Common Pleas Court Judge
Valid for 24 hours or until Court is available
Emergency PFAs CANNOT be entered into PFAD -- even if they are used to create a temporary order
PFAD cases begin with petition or temporary order
Electronic Data Transfer
Daily checks to review status of all information transferred electronically– Via email message– Manage datasheets screen
Call Tech Support with questions or problems
Project Passport Update
Allow PA orders to be easily recognizable in PA and in other states
Improve enforcement
New rules were published for comment
Now before the PA Supreme Court for review and approval
