COURSE OBJECTIVEThe emerging complexities in the workplace have led organization andenterprises to rethink their strategy to effective business practices.Organizational Behavior is the central theme reflected in the current scenariosand this is evident due to cross culture, diversity at workplace and the largenumber of mergers and acquisition. Individual process study helps to maximizethe individual as well as the organizational effectiveness. OB involves theapplication of principles to acquiring, retention, developing, motivation andsupporting individuals to achieve individual & organizational output.
The objective of this course is:
1. To provide an overview of individual processes in organizations. Thisincludes understanding the personalities, perceptions, attitudes,values, motivations, and interpersonal traits of individual managers.
2. To develop ones ability to understand the theoretical underpinnings ofOB-I, and apply them to work situations.
3. To develop an active understanding of individual processes throughexperiential learning.
The structure of the course is largely case driven with lectures and groupdiscussion and experiential learning.

Project work- Academic Case Writing Capturing Evidence BasedApproach
You are required to submit a 10 page case capturing any topics ofOrganizational Behavior studied. The case should academic rigor in concept,
articulation and real life situation. The case should be accompanied by acase clearance certificate. A template of the certificate is place in theworkbook for your reference.
The case will be divided into two parts:1) The case as its stands based on the situation.
2) Learning Note: Analysis of the case integrating theory and the case.(This
would involve citation of certain articles, books, frameworks, or models)
Checklist before submitting your case:1) Check for conceptualization of real facts that capture the case to
demonstrate a situation that lead the reader to make a decision based on the
facts offered.
2) Check for theoretical integration within the case. However this should be
implied that explicit through the case writing structure.
3) Language, spelling, and sentence construction.
4) Read the case at least 3 times before submitting and ask for a proof read.
5) The Examiner however should not be the first person to read the case.
