All Servomex analyzers are based on long life, reliablesensor designs and many of the analytical technologiesthat are now commonplace were originally introduced byServomex. These include magnetodynamic paramagneticoxygen analysis and hazardous area approved, on-line gasfilter correlation spectrometry.

TECHNOLOGY THAT STANDS AHEAD OF THE CROWD

By using a range of technologies Servomex is able to meet

pharmaceutical measurement challenges head on.

Oxygen Measurement (Magnetodynamic paramagnetic type)

Magnetodynamic paramagnetic measurement is acknowledged as

the safest and most accurate form of oxygen analysis. This

technique avoids the problems of electrochemical analyzers, which

can provide false readings when cell chemicals are depleted or

poisoned, and those of thermomagnetic analyzers, which are

affected by temperature variations and changes in background gas

composition.

Infrared Measurements (eg H2O in solvents, CEMS)

Servomex’s unique infrared source and chopper motor have been

developed over many years to minimize drift, maintenance and

running costs. Used with the single beam, dual wavelength

technique this provides a powerful approach which minimizes cross

interference and maximizes sensitivity.

Combustion Analysis (O2 and combustibles)

Incineration of solvents typically creates acidic gases which can

quickly destroy low cost in-situ analyzers. Servomex overcomes this

by using a rugged, close coupled, semi-extractive arrangement with

unique zirconia and thick film sensors.

EASING TODAY’S CHALLENGES, RISING TO TOMORROW’S

At Servomex we realize that an analyzer alone is not the answer to a

problem. Gas conditioning systems, multipoint sampling solutions

and full analyzer houses are regularly supplied, all backed by a

global network of skilled engineers.

As industry pressures for faster scale up increase, Servomex can

advise on units for pilot plants that use the same measurement

technologies as their process analyzers. This allows methods to be

tested and parameters defined before committing to a full process

standard solution.

In an industry with an ever increasing burden of documentation,

Servomex can also assist clients by providing IQ and OQ

documentation packages for certain analyzers.
