Courseweb – Logging In
• Using web browser type: https://my.pitt.edu/
• Log in to Pitt Passport with your Pitt username and password
• Click “Courseweb” on the right-hand column
• View your courses in “My Courses” box on right
• Hover over top right corner of “My Courses” box to expose gear icon
• Click on this icon to select which courses you would like to display
• Contact instructor if you do not see the course listed
Courseweb – Turing In a Assignment
• Click “Assignments” link (or designated link by your instructor) in left-hand column
• Review instructions, due date, points possible, and download all files provided by instructor associated with the given assignment
• Take note if multiple attempts are allowed by instructor
• Click on the name of your assignment
• Click “Browse My Computer” to locate file you would like to upload
• Select file of your choice
• Follow instructor guidance when naming the file.
• If you select the wrong file, you can remove it by clicking “Do not attach”.
• If the same file is attached more than once, the new file is saved with a (1) appended to the file name.
• Check box to agree to submit file “Global Reference Database”
• Add comments if necessary in comments box
• If your instructor provided a rubric and has made it available, click “View Rubric” to view grading criteria
• Save draft and come back to it or click “Submit”
• Note: If you submitted an assignment and realized that you submitted the incorrect version or would like to resubmit, please contact course support for that class (contact information in the syllabus). They may be able to clear your entry.
Courseweb – Taking a Quiz/Test
• Select a course of your choosing in the “My Courses” box
• Click “Quizzes” link in left-hand column (or designated link by your instructor)
• Select a quiz of your choosing
• Instructor will indicate the following prior to quiz:
• If multiple attempts are allowed
• If you can backtrack to completed questions
• If there is a time limit
• If there is a password to take the quiz
• If all questions display at once
• Click “Ok” to begin
• Good Luck!
• Once you are complete, click “Submit” to turn in your quiz
• Click “My Grades” in left-hand column to view your grade on the quiz
• Note: Some instructors might not make grades immediately available especially with non-multiple choice quizzes
Courseweb – Viewing Grades & Feedback
• Select Course in “My Courses” box
• Click “My Grades” in left sidebar
• View the assignment name on the left and your grade on the right
• Some assignments will have comments and rubrics attached
• Click speech bubble to view comments
• Click “View Rubric” to see an explanation of your score

• Note: you will only be able to view your screen when

Directory - Find Pitt
• Go to -> http://find.pitt.edu/
• Search by name or Pitt Username
• Displays email address, office location, phone number (and cell phone
number)
• Must enter CAPTCHA information if off campus (after 3 uses)
Email Signature
• Using web browser type: https://my.pitt.edu/
• Log in to Pitt Passport with your Pitt username and password
• Select “My Pitt Email” at top left corner to open Outlook
• Click on gear icon at top right corner
• Then click “Options”
• Under “Layout” in left-hand column select “Email signature”
• Choose an appropriate and professional email signature.
• This will only update on Outlook not on 3rd party email apps
• You must do this manually

Personalize Your My Pitt Email Address
• Using web browser type: https://my.pitt.edu/
• Log in to My Pitt with your Pitt username and password
• Click “Manage My Account” in the left-hand column
• Click “Set Email Preferences”
• Click the “Email Aliases” tab and follow the instructions
• Select a processional email address
• Check the “From Address” and the “Advertised Email” boxes for the email of your choice
• Click “Set From Address and Advertised Email” button (changes may take up to 24 hours to take effect)
• Note: Once you create an alias you cannot delete it (contact CSSD Help Desk 412-624-HELP)
Self-Service Printing
• Using web browser type: https://my.pitt.edu/
• Log in to My Pitt with your Pitt username and password
• Hover over “My Resources” in top toolbar
• Click on “Software Download”
• Select “Pitt Printing Client”
• Download all files
• To print select “Pitt Print Station” in your printing options of your document
• Print jobs will be stored for 48 hours
• Swipe your Pitt ID at any Self-Service Printer on campus (4th and 2nd floors in Salk Hall)
• If you need help visit the Help Desk at the University Store on 5th or Call the CSSD Help Desk at 412-624-HELP
MobilePrint
• Email document as an attachment to [email protected] from any email address
• During your first time using MobilePrint, your will receive an email requiring your to register your email address to your Pitt Account
• You will receive a email confirmation that your document is ready to be printed
• Print jobs will be stored for 48 hours
• Swipe your Pitt ID at any Self-Service Printer on campus (4th and 2nd floors in Salk Hall)
• If you need help visit the Help Desk at the University Store on 5th or Call the CSSD Help Desk at 412-624-HELP
MobilePrint - Continued
• No additional software needed
• You DO NOT need to be on campus
• Add file you want to print as an attachment or add text >400 characters to body of email
• PDF, Microsoft Word, Microsoft PowerPoint, Microsoft Excel, Open Office, Text, and Images supported
• Note: Documents will be in black and white and double sided
• Note: There are no advanced printing options at this time

• Scroll down to view calendar
• Select categories at the top left of the calendar
• Click on categories you would like to see in your personalized calendar
• This shows you a personalized filtered calendar
• Click on “Subscribe to filtered calendar” at the bottom right of the calendar
• Select your subscription method
• Your personalized calendar is now synced with your device

• Looking for two students to help out faculty members if there are issues
during class
• Students with an understanding computer/technology hardware are
especially encouraged
