VANDERHOOF ALL BREEDS BULL SALE

SATURDAY, APRIL 13th

What a day! The Bulls looked fantastic, the barn was packed, and the mood was absolutely electric right up till the last bull sold! We presented them one breed at a time and this year we started with a dozen Hereford bulls. Valley Creek Ranch lit the fire with a 2 yr old horned Her-eford, lot 12, cracking 6,000.00. Copper-T Ranch followed with their 2 yr old polled bull, lot 10, that reached 5,750.00 Richardson Ranch presenting another stellar set of polled yearling bulls, their top bull was lot 6, selling at 5,500.00. We saw 5 great Charolais bulls in our sale this year. From Southside Charolais was lot 14, a massive 2 yr old 3/4 french bull, striking 5,800.00. TK Cattle Co. had lot 15 top their pen of yearlings, he forced the bid to 4,750.00. As new comers to our sale, we welcomed the LA Ranch and their powerful Simmental yearlings, lot 21 kept the pace at 4,900.00. Lorne Webster's top yearling was lot 27 at 4,400.00. Another great batch of yearlings from 3M Simmentals, their best was lot 24 climbing to 4,800.00. The top of the Simmental bulls was lot 28, a yearling from Crosby Cattle Co. could not be stopped till they said 6,100.00! We had a strong showing of Angus bulls and everyone wanted a piece of it. Ludwig Farms did it again with a flashy set of black yearlings, their lot 31 maxed out at 5,750.00. KN Farms joined us for the first time with some incredible black yearlings, lot 58 proved his value at 4,700.00. A lifetime of 4-H experience helped Coyote View Ranch as young Bayley Cail enjoyed 5,750.00 for lot 71 (2 yr old black) and 3,900.00 for lot 72 (yearling black). A great selection of red bulls in from Matt's Red Angus, lot 70 and 74 tied for the lead at 4,750.00. Stretchy red 2 yr olds came in from Henkel Creek Angus, with lot 49 forcing 6,000.00. Meints Cattle Co. showed a solid pen of yearling bulls, lot 42A rolled to 3,750.00. North 40 Red Angus win's the whole shootin' match with lot 70, an outstanding red yearling bull creating quite a fuss until 8,250.00 finally settled the argument. The Wrangler 4-H Club did a great job serving lunch again this year. I am very proud of the bulls we had on offer and even more proud of the community that showed up to support another classic bull sale. Our April 26th regular sale is building momentum and we are taking entries for the June 8th Saddle Horse Sale (250-524-0681)

OK FALLS REGULAR SALE, MONDAY, APRIL 15th

This was one huge sale for this time of year with just under 400 hd on offer! Local interest was

wild and prices were very strong from start to finish. Wade Clifton set the bar for butcher bulls

with 2430 lb bulls topping 104.50 and 2335 lb bulls that hit 106.00. His butcher cows rolled up

to 90.50. Lincoln Blaine had good quality, high yielding, butcher cows, 1298 lb, topping 88.25.

The Brent Mountain Ranch’s top high yielding 2205 lb Blk Angus butcher bulls notched

109.75 and their 1333 lb cows marked 88.25. Thomas Ranches’ 900 lb strs brought 173.00

and their 950 lb strs saw 171.00. Ken & Barb Marcinko had 948 lb Blk Angus strs top 173.50.

The grass cattle market was on fire today, Fossen Air’s 603 lb Blk s/c hit 271.00 and their

fancy 683 lb Blk hfrs rose to 190.00 Bob Lewis had 590 lb strs trade to 255.00 and his 385 lb

Blk Angus h/c stopped 245.00. The Pa-Van Ranch set a pace with 521 lb s/c that powered to

249.50. The Monrose Ranch’s heavy 955 lb Angus x strs hit 172.00. Casey Dennis was in

with 533 lb Blk Angus strs that raced up to 277.50. What a great sale! Huge thanks to all our

contributors, buyers and staff for keeping things rolling smooth and solid!

KAMLOOPS REGULAR SALE, TUESDAY, APRIL 16th

We had huge numbers in Kamloops again this week as we rolled through another incredible

sale with 600 hd on offer. This sale also showcased the In-House Video Sale for the Indian

Gardens Ranch’s liner load of 585 lb quality hfrs. Tom & Linda Hancock set the bar for hfrs,

the quality was 1st class, with 750 lb Angus x hfrs that hit 178.25 and their group of 14 hfrs,

658 lb, notched 187.00. The Squaw Valley Ranch set one powerful push to the trade as they

showcased a liner load of strs & hfrs. Their pen of 689 lb Char / Red Angus x s/c hit 215.00. 11

more of their 623 lb strs raced to 230.75. 14 of their fancy 625 lb Char / Red angus x hfrs hit

201.00 and their 509 lb h/c rolled to 213.00. Lee Cunningham, from 70 Mile House, had 560

lb s/c that traded at 245.00 and 655 lb Char x s/c that hit 219.00. His 483 lb hfrs, a top pen,

rose to 214.00. Steve Langenegger saw his 508 lb Red s/c bring 249.00 and his 525 lb hfrs

notched 209.00. Ian & Jo Nelson’s 868 lb Red replacement hfrs sold to 160.00. Southlands

Ranch had 767 lb Angus x hfrs race up to 178.50. Rauch Ranch saw their 606 lb Blk strs top

232.00 and their 550 lb Blk strs traded at 250.00. Randy & Wendy Prebushewski had 568 lb

Blk strs top 250.00. The Indian Gardens Ranch in-house video auction was underway at 12

noon and was it ever strong! Their lot of 90 hfrs, called 585 lb, raced to 205.50. The Buff

Ranch set one incredible pace with their fancy Blk Angus strs, 695 lb, that rolled to 228.00.

Butcher cows saw Walter Bopfinger’s 1239 lb cows sell at 91.25 and his 1148 lb cows hit

95.00. The Squaw Valley Ranch tested our butcher bull market with 2425 lb bulls notching

108.00. This was one fantastic sale day of solid quality and huge buyer interest. Next week will

be huge also as 300 feeder strs and hfrs are already listed. Thank you to all our producers,

buyers and staff for keeping this sale rolling strong and smooth.
