PRESIDENT’SREPORT2017On behalf of the Central Coast Junior Rugby Union (CCJRU) Committee, I would like to welcome you all to the stadium today and congratulate all the teams playing. The CCJRU committee and spectators look forward to seeing some great rugby and whether you walk away a winner or runner up you should all be very proud of your achievements in 2017. We wish all teams the very best of luck as they attempt to be crowned 2017 Premiers of their relevant age group.

2017 saw another successful year for our representative teams – our u17s were crowned Country Champions in their age group and we again had very good representation of selections in Country teams. We had varied results in other age groups, though all in all we had improvement in our zone results. Please join me in congratulating the teams for an amazing effort in 2017!

I once again would like to acknowledge and thank our supporters for 2017 - Simply Smashing (West Gosford), Storage King (Berkeley Vale), OZ Print (Fountaindale), Nupress (Cardiff) and All Metal (Tuggerah) your support is valued. A special thanks also to the Central Coast Stadium management and staff for their continued support and we know that all players here today will value the experience of playing at such a magnificent stadium.

To our Match officials we thank you for your efforts each week and the wonderful job you do for our game on the Coast. Being a match official or cadet is not easy at the best of times, though week in and week out you all turn up and do your very best! We thank you all for your commitment, professionalism and support.

I would also like to acknowledge and thank Parents, Volunteers, Coaches, Managers, Trainers, Administrators and Club Officials whose continuous hard work and commitment makes junior rugby on the coast exist.

Finally, I would like to thank the 2017 CCJRU Committee for the effort they put in behind the scenes to ensure that our game continues to move ahead in the right direction.

Once again, it has been my great pleasure to work as the NSW Waratahs Development Officer for Central Coast zone.This year has been equally busy and rewarding as we work to grow and continue to develop all areas of Rugby on the Central Coast.
