Here are some of the photos I had taken during the shoot that are going to be used for my music magazine.I took a range of close ups, mid shots and long shots.

This a long shot that could either be used as a double page spread or a front cover image. This could potentially be an article about a new, upcoming pop artist. The lighting is low key lighting which then highlights the figure. The dress is vibrant and represents the new, fresh style of the pop music genre. Front Cover image 1

This is a long shot that could either be used as the front cover image or double page spread image. The pose is using non verbal communication which is a code and convention for images of magazine front covers and double page spreads as It draws in the attention of the reader.It is also high key lighting which highlights the girls figure and makes it stand out. Front Cover image 6 A long shot image inspired by the artist Mark Ronson. This could potentially be used as front cover image. Gives a smart look to the pop genre which is more of what my magazine is going to be about.

Here is an extreme close up of a guitar. This image could be used as contents page thumbnail for an article. The guitar suggest pop music as it is a bass guitar which is an instrument used in may pop songs.

Contents page image 2This is a close up which could be used as a contents page image. The image is using non verbal communication and is low key lighting.

This a long shot which could be used a main front cover image or a double page spread image. This is a re-creation of a Rolling Stone magazine front cover this would appeal to a pop music audience as it is featuring may pop stars all together which could lead into an article about a possible collaboration between them all. The lighting is high key and shows the facial expressions and poses of each star, potentially making this a good front cover image.

Double page spread image 3This is a long shot image that could be used on a double page spread. The artist is playing a guitar and gives the pop/rock look. This could lead into an article about being on tour with a new artist

Production Process

Here are some shots of myself taking images and learning about how to use the camera and how to capture images that would look great for a front cover main image. There is also some images of the equipment/props we used during the shoot.

Post photo shoot I now have a collection of images that I have taken to choose from for my final music magazine product
