COSTUME &APPEARANCE Outfit: The metal necklace gives a powerful and tribal look which makes the artist look fierce. The black fur jacket could link to how the colour black can be intimidating and could show the fur is from a fierce animal. This shows the artist is fearless- represented by wearing dead animals fur. Facial Expression: The Outfit: The jewellery on the artists head could be seen as over the top. The spikes coming down from her head could show power. The colour gold also represents wealth which could link to how the jewellery suggests power (because people feel a sense of power with money). Facial Expression: The artist’s face is fierce and could be intimidating to some. Make-up: The eye make- up is black which could again, be seen as intimidating. However, Outfit: The metal dress shows power and wealth and it suggests that it protects her. This makes us think that she is precious and could make us think she has enemy's which she needs protection from. Facial Expression: The artist looks as though she is puzzled which gives a sense of innocence which contradicts what she is wearing- this could be to try and find a balance- they didn’t want the artist coming

COSTUME &APPEARANCE

Outfit: The metal necklace gives a powerful and tribal look which makes the artist look fierce. The black fur jacket could link to how the colour black can be intimidating and could show the fur is from a fierce animal. This shows the artist is fearless- represented by wearing dead animals fur.Facial Expression: The artist’s face looks fierce and shows attitude which suggests that artist’s music is up beat and powerful (not slow and relaxing).

Outfit: The jewellery on the artists head could be seen as over the top. The spikes coming down from her head could show power. The colour gold also represents wealth which could link to how the jewellery suggests power (because people feel a sense of power with money).Facial Expression: The artist’s face is fierce and could be intimidating to some.Make-up: The eye make-up is black which could again, be seen as intimidating. However, make-up isn't heavy which could link to how this specific artist stands up for women (suggesting women shouldn’t hide ourselves).

Outfit: The metal dress shows power and wealth and it suggests that it protects her. This makes us think that she is precious and could make us think she has enemy's which she needs protection from.Facial Expression: The artist looks as though she is puzzled which gives a sense of innocence which contradicts what she is wearing- this could be to try and find a balance- they didn’t want the artist coming across to much attitude or it may deter some audience.Body Language: The artist’s posture is very upright which shows confidence and that she doesn’t want to hide.

LOCATION & CAMERA ANGLE SHOTS

Birmingham deserted car park-This location is a deserted car park which looks urban and fits in with the genre of my artist which is R&B. I would take a full-length shot here so that my artist’s outfit would be visible and standing in a position which could suggest attitude (so this matches with the background). This location could be used to show how this is where the artist grew up and they are going back there for influence in their music. Birmingham city is also in the background of this location and so this could represent how they grew up with not a lot, and behind them is the city which they know have due to their music success. This location could link to women being independent as my artist would be alone in open space.

Brick wall-This setting would be suitable for a head/medium shot of my artist as bricks give connotations of being on the streets which links to the genre of the artist which is R&B. The facial expression would have attitude to show that the artist produces powerful music and links to my inspiration which is Beyoncé and how her music relates to women being strong and independent. The brick wall would also give the artist’s face the main focus as the setting isn’t particularly interesting and so it shows how the artist is more important than where they are. It would also mean there would be a great focus on make-up and jewellery which would be good for me to be able to present personality through.

Birmingham Fox Street-This location is a deserted area of grass which is over grown and has a white wall at the back of it. I think that his would be effective to be able to get full length shots of my artist in the overgrown plants with the white background. This would enable me to get full-length shots of my artist as well as head/medium shots of them with the white wall behind them. Full-length shots would enable me to make their outfit visible and head/medium shot would enable me to focus on the artists facial expression, jewellery, hair and make-up as the white wall would not draw any attention to anything other than the artist. The white wall which isn’t necessarily clean could make the images more urban and less-staged.
