I was born and raised in Heraklion, Crete, in 8/8/1988.At the age 18 I left Heraklion to study Public Administration at the University of Athen.During this time Idecided to buy a cheap Dslr camera by using some saving I had.At that time, I found myself spending a lot of hours-days, trying to discover what all the buttons do, all alone, and trying to take some good pictures. Mostly street shots.Soon I've become a bit disappointed because I had different scenes on my mind than the ones I was getting on camera.So I decided to practice how to create my own images. I started by exploring several software by myself ( carrying a very basic knowledge by my earlier years)I got my first images after few months and I started sharing them on internet. People slowly raised their interest on them.Since the start I'm spending a lot time to discover or develop new techniques in order to visualize my ideas. I personally don't mind using any kind of medium to create an image.

7 Days of Garbage © Gregg Segal

Ever since I was a kid, I’ve wondered about garbage - where does it go and what happens when we run out of places to put it? The average American generates 4 pounds of garbage a day. As a nation, we generate 4 million tons of waste, weekly. I’m concerned not only by how much we throw away, but by how blithe we are to the problem.

In January, I set out to create pictures that make the trash problem impossible to ignore. I asked family, friends, neighbors and other acquaintances to save their trash and recyclables for a week and then to lie down and be photographed in it. I included my family because I want my 7-year-old son to understand that we’re contributing to the problem, too. I asked people to include their recyclables for several reasons: much of what is designated recyclable is not recycled, recycling plastic has environmental costs, and packaging is excessive.

I’ve created three environments for the pictures, all in my yard in Altadena, CA: water, forest and beach. I photograph participants directly from above, camera centered over the subject, tethered to my computer below. I will continue the series, creating other environments (or shooting on location): snowy tundra, rocky outcropping, field of wildflowers, etc. My aim is to illustrate how pervasive garbage is.

By asking us to look at ourselves, I’ve found that some are considering the issue more deeply. Many have said the process of saving their garbage and then laying in it reconciled them to a need for change. Others have commented how powerless they feel. What can any one of us do? It isn’t our fault that the products we buy come with excessive packaging and have brief life spans. Our economic model and its necessity for growth fuels the waste epidemic – and makes conservation seem untenable.

Still, some of us are making small steps to mitigate the crisis. Reflecting on the pictures I’ve made so far, I see 7 Days of Garbage as instant archeology, a record not only of our waste but of our values – values that may be evolving a little.

My name is Alex Belko (Alex Norg), I am from Belarus, Minsk.

Most of my life I am fond of web design, which has devoted more than 15

years of my life. Currently I am work as an art director.

Like most designers in the process of work I was interested in

photography and the specific of taking and processing photo.

I started making photo not so long ago, in 2010, when I graduated from

the photography courses at the Belarusian union of designers.

Photography is intresting to me as an art rather than a transfer of

reality.

For this reason I am more engaged in digital photo.

I ike to create multi-layered photo that make viewer consider and look

into the images created in the photo.

At the moment I engaged in a project that I called Kaleidoscope.

It reflects the multi-layered nature of human that I would like to show

in my works.

whose work shows mainly urban and

natural landscapes.

In his photographic manipulations,

Liu introduces elements of outside

contexts and in a contrasting scale

with the color backgrounds, which adds

texture to provide some atmosphere to the image. Usually his pics

join opposite or dissimilar contexts, so that when faced detonate a

reflection in the viewer.

Chris Ruiz was born in 1970 close to Detmold, Germany.

In youth he moved to Berlin, where he’s still living as musician and

photographer. His photography is moving between landscape and

streetlife, mostly black and white.

“Black and white keeps the essentials for me, while colors distract.

In my opinion it has a no-bler form. It’s more subtle.

It just keep my view and my interest much longer.

I love black and white in all other forms too, it isn’t just in

photography. My furniture is mostly grey tones or strictly white, also

my kitchen stuff. My clothes are almost black too.

I just love it in any way. Ok, my TV is in colour”.

He is also shooting bands & portraits for musicians and other artists.

Chris shares his time between advertisement works and personal

photography project. You can find something on his works CD booklets or

homepages of various artists.

Photographs also released in variuos photo & music magazines and CD

booklets. He is former and singer of germans electro Act Pakt and

co-former of And One.

My name is Dudi Ben Simon and im a top creative executive at an ad agency

signed on many familiar campaigns in Israel.

"Working in advertising by day, my ideas are driven toward a goal and my

work is done within marketing formats- through this creation I find that

there are no limits to the world"

My style is drawn from ready-made art. Since I was in high school study-

ing the history of art I was fascinated with what can be made by using

objects and daily pieces as art (when they are disconnected from their

original use). In my opinion it broadens the conventional way of think-

ing in regards to what it art, especially in a time when product and

design are important. I have used this technique in previous campaigns.

In most cases I see an object that I relate to (design, shape, color or

meaning) and then it’s a matter of minutes until the idea is born, if it

doesn’t click, than usually the idea comes within the next day. For exam-

ple, the picture of bowls that became a sleeve was created the day I came

back from a vacation. While sitting on the couch, I saw a pile of bowls

on the counter; it looked to me like a sleeve. The next day I took a pic-

ture of it.
