PowerPoint Presentation

For the front cover, I decided to use Natalie, since she has a cute face which is suitable for my genre which pop. I discarded the idea of using a green screen so I went with plain backgrounds instead. The reason for this was because the green from the green screen was reflecting on the models skin so once I edited the background, the green was still visible. I decided for my model to wear her adidas hoodie since I wanted the audience to feel comfortable once they saw that she was just like everyone else. Unlike most pop magazines who overdo their models looks and outfits.

I decided to swap from using horizontal pictures to vertical since I realised that this set of pictures where going to be used for my front cover. This way, when editing the pictures it would be easier for the composition of the model. The first image is the picture with no editing. I then used Photoshop in order to change the colour of the background. The reason why I kept the colours vey subtle was because I didnt want the magazine to be too colourful since I was trying to move away from the typical pop magazine and create one more suitable for an older audience.

Here you can see my digital blocking of how I expected the front cover to look. I followed the steps but decided to add extras for example the pink bubble. I added this in order to engage the audience since it will make them want to see more of the magazine. I also forgot to add the price in my digital blocking but I remember while I was editing. Price is key when it comes to the magazine because when the audience look at it they want to know if its affordable for them. to make this decision I observed my questionnaires results and came to the conclusion that 2.99 was the right amount of money to pay.
