Background: REI is looking to inspire children and families to have a more adventurous outdoor lifestyle. This inspiration will turn into outdoor education and a continued need for outdoor materials such as clothing and equipment.

Target Audiences: Parents of children 18 and younger, and also their children.

Objectives: To inspire families and youth to explore the outdoors.

Obstacles: Children are difficult to pull away from technology and get outside.

Key Benefit: A healthy adventurous lifestyle.

Support Statements/ Reasons Why: A child can learn more from first hand experience than any other form of education. Also, there are many benefits to families spending time together and being outdoors in a natural environment. Tone: Fun and adventurous.

Media: This communication will be found in many different media forms including online, on-screen, point-of-purchase signage, flyers, and print collateral.

Creative Considerations: The artwork is focused in a cooler winter climate, so will be best advertised during that time of year, advertising a cold climate location, or directed at the appropriate clothing.
