President’s Message

Hey Key Clubbers,

The end of the service year is in our sight, but

we're busier than ever. We have so many fun

events coming up, including, of course, DCON!

Also, I hope to see you at the Eliminate Games

and at our fellow school Montville for the An-

nual Volleyball Tournament. Don't forget to

keep working hard on your class projects to

prove that your grade can do the most service!

Remember, you won't always get the chance to

attend these fun and charitable events, so go!

Seize the day!

Christina Hum

PHS Key Club President 2012-2013

PAST EVENTS

Baldwin Oaks— January 29th

On January 29th, members of our club visited Baldwin Oaks to share a dinner with the senior citizens in the building. Our Key Clubbers sat and talked to the seniors as they ate a homemade pasta dinner. Good job giving back to the people that have given to Parsippany for their entire lives! For those of you that attended, pat yourselves on the back for a job well done and for the rest you, try to go next year; it really is a great experience!

A big thank you to anyone that performed,

it was greatly appreciated and you did a

great job entertaining our guests!

District Convention

Just a mere two months away is this years annual District Convention. Be-ing held at Ocean Place Resort & Spa in Long Branch, New Jersey, this years DCON has great promise of fun and excite-ment! This years theme, based off of the fun-filled and exuberant times of the past, is the Roaring Twen-ties. Once you step into the hotel, you will be taken back in time to the age of the flappers and wild, ex-travagant times. If you are planning on attending, make sure you have the proper form (obtained from Ms. Kelly) and that you hand it in by the 18th of this month!

Spots fill up EX-TREMELY quickly, so make sure you gets yours in! DCON this year will be taking place from April 5-7th and it’s a great oppor-tunity to be a part of the inner workings of Key Club. You can find out who really runs the entire district! It’s hard to under-stand that these people are high-schoolers just like us, but it’s true! Come out to Long Branch, meet some of the best people you will ever meet, and play a bigger role in one of the best or-ganizations you will ever be a part of!

KIWANIS ONE DAY

This April, the Kiwanis Organization invites the rest of its Kiwanis family to join together and observe this year’s annual Kiwanis One Day. Set on April 6th, the event celebrates the impact you have on your commu-nity and it results in an in-ternational spirit of service that inspires people world-wide. The goal of the event is to create a sense of unity and togetherness between club members and entire Ki-wanis Family as a whole.

While the event does take place during New Jer-sey’s District Convention, many of you will still be here and fully able to par-ticipate in any sort of Ki-wanis One Day activity. To participate you can do things like organize a project or a public service announcement! Find out more about the event itself at:
