cal mechanics while demonstrating the use of
Vernier equipment and software and show how to
transfer data to an Apple iPad via wireless con-
nections. To register for this event contact Barry
Feierman via: [email protected]. Registration is
free but is limited to 24 people.
A second workshop will be held in Feb. 2015 at
LaSalle University on Energy and Thermodynam-
ics and a third in the Spring of 2015 on waves.
Check our website for details and updates.

Fall Demo Day—Oct 18th
Demo Days are a fun opportunity for physics
teachers to gather and share their favorite class-
room demonstrations. Past Demo Days have
presented a range of demonstrations, from those
using everyday items, like popcorn and broken
glass, to technology that can show students how
to measure the speed of light. Attendees need
bring nothing more than a love for Physics, but
all are welcome to share their unique ways of
demonstrating physics concepts.
This year’s Fall Demo Day will be held at East
High School in West Chester, PA, starting at 9:00
with a light breakfast and conversation with area
Physics teachers, followed by 5 to 10 minute
demonstrations that can liven up your classes.
You are asked to register for this event by email-
ing our host: [email protected]. There is
no cost for first time attendees.
East High School is located at:
450 Ellis Lane, West Chester, PA 19380
Use the Gym entrance, from 9:00—11:30am
What is SEPS AAPT? The Southeastern PA Section of the American
Association of Physics Teachers is an organiza-
tion of physics teachers from the five-county re-
gion surrounding Philadelphia who are dedicated
to promoting and enhancing the education of high
school and college students in the science of
Physics. We do this in the following ways:
Our annual Fall Demo Days
Hands-on Workshops
Yearly Spring Conferences
Ongoing newsletters and networking
Who is SEPS AAPT?
The members of the SE PA Section of AAPT are
high school and college physics teachers who
enjoy sharing their experiences in the classroom
and helping fellow physics teachers better reach
out to students who are interested in Physics and
other fields of science.
