WHAT IS A PERSONAL INTERVIEW?
An interview conducted face-to-face with the respondent is called a Personal Interview.
Can it be prepared? The answer to the question is ‘Yes’ it can be. If we analyse the interview questions asked in the past, we can definitely chalk out a plan for the preparation of Personal Interview. There may be 2-3 questions which would be a bit out of the scope of your preparation, but the rest can be taken care of.
In fact, the same questions which are differently phrased, tend to crop over and over again. Certain questions like- talk about yourself, your strengths and weaknesses, your hobbies, why should you be chosen are bound to repeat time and again.
You should have brief overview as how to drive these questions based on your self-analysis.

Details about your family background
Questions about extra-curricular activities undertaken by you
Pick instances which showcase your leadership qualities & teamwork.
Your favourite politician, activist, actor, actress, singer etc.(Further questions on them)
WHY MBA?
Here you might be asked to relate your past education/ work experience with MBA and its usefulness for your future
If you are a fresher, you might be asked about your graduation specialization and its use while doing MBA
Which specialization would you choose in MBA? Why? Why not M.tech or M.S or any other PG course aligned with your graduation field?
Why are you leaving your job and doing MBA? Why not Executive MBA?
ACADEMICS
If you are a fresher, expect an interview centered around academics. Be thorough with the different laws, theories, definitions that you studied. Focus would be more on the subject you name as your favourite.
What was your final year project
Details about the internship done, if any during graduation
In case of work ex candidates, your favourite subjects during graduation? Questions based on those subjects? Prepare atleast two subjects thoroughly.
Details about national level competitions like paper presentations, quizzes you took part in.
PAST WORK EXPERIENCE
Tell us about the firms you worked for.
Tell us about the projects you worked on. Also further questions aligned to it.
Questions based on the tools and technologies you worked on in case of IT professionals
If you have changed your job/ organisation/domain, the reason for the same. Also further questions aligned to it
If there is any gap between education and job, reasons explaining it
