Project Highlights
•12-weekinternshipattachmentwithgeneralinsurance/reinsurancecompanies,insurancebrokers,lossadjustorsandsurveyors.
•Astructuredprogramforinternswitharotationcyclethroughthevariousdepartmentsinthecompanye.g.claims,underwriting,businessdevelopment,policyservicing,riskmanagementetc.
•A3-4dayorientationandindustryinductionprogramwillprecedetheactualinternship.Beforebeingassignedtoanyofthe28membercompanies,theinternswillbebriefedontheindustrylandscape,regulatoryenvironment,marketperformanceandotherimportantkeyissuesbyvariousstakeholders.
•Therewillbenobondattachedtothisprogramfortheinterns.
Project GIIFT to Showcase the Industry
InlinewiththeStrategicReviewandtransformationofPIAM,thereisacrucialneedtobuildapipelineoftalentfortheGeneralInsuranceindustryinMalaysia.OfferingtheyouthofMalaysiadirectionandguidancewillaidinfeedingtherighttalentintotherightsectionsofthisvastindustry.
TheGeneralInsuranceInternshipforTalent(GIIFT)isanawarenessenhancingprogram,aimedtoreachoutandprofiletheindustrytothepoolofyoungtalentatouruniversities.ItwillshowcasetherichandvariedcareeropportunitiesintheworldofGeneralInsurancebyexposingstudentstointernshipattachmentsatthevariousmembercompanies.Insodoing,studentswillgaininsightonGeneralinsuranceasaglobalanddynamicindustrytoworkin.ThisprogramisopentoundergraduatesofalldisciplinesinlocalorinternationaluniversitiesinMalaysia.Thereisnobondattachedtothisprogram.
