PROSTHESIS
How is the gingival profile recorded forAFE implants using a pick-up technique?06
The impression must maximise the accuracy of the emergence profile recording to facilitate the work of thedental laboratory and optimise the gingival and coronal volume of the abutment to be designed. The naturaldeformation of the peri-implant soft tissues upon removal of the healing screw due to the elastic properties of the gingival fibres, as well as the compression of the impression material against the soft tissues are problemsthat are avoidable by using impression rings .

The transfer will be chosen (from two heights) depending on the height of the adjacent teeth and the available space in relation to the antagonist tooth. It is essential to ensure that the transfer screw (choice of two heights) is long enough to release it from the impression tray. The profile of the impression rings precisely match the profile of the healing screws of Ø 4.0 and Ø 5.0 mm*. In the case of healing screws of Ø 3.4 mm, using an impression ring would not provide additional precision. The impression ring is chosen on the basis of the healing screw (or temporary abutment) in place, and according to the future abutment to match the Axiom® emergence profile (diameter and gingival height).
Choice of Transfer and Choice of Ring 1.
Position the impression ring that matches the chosen emergence profile on a New design Pick-up transfer. The impression ring must be in contact with the first wing of the transfer. Insert the transfer into the implant and tighten the transfer screw (hand tightening). An index ensures that the transfer is correctlypositioned in the implant.

• Hand tightening of the screw is recommended (< 10 N.cm).
• Transfer: possible choice of 2 body heights and 2 screw lengths.
• Impression rings: choice of two diameters and three gingival heights.
• Unscrewing is possible using Torq Control®
in the case of a limited mouth opening.
• It is advisable to use impression materials with high tear strength (polyvinyl siloxanes and polyethers).
PLEASE NOTE
Manufacturer: Anthogyr SAS. Carefully read the instructions for use and user manuals.
Unscrew the healing screw using the hexagonal wrench.Index, then screw immediately thepick-up transfer onto the implant.Use a perforated impression tray.Check its insertion into the mouthand make sure that the transfer screw overlaps the upper surface. Ensure that the edges do not injure the patient and that the window obtained is wide enough to avoid any contact between the impression trayand the transfer.Take the impression. Ensure that the transfer screw is easily accessiblebefore polymerisation occurs.
Procedures in the Mouth3.
When the hardening of the impression material is effective*, unscrew the transfer screw. Check the transfer release bypartially removing the screw.Remove the impression.Replace the healing screw or the temporary prosthesis immediately. The implant analogs are then screwed onto the transfers remained in the impression, either by the practitioner or the dental technician..
