Congratulations to the boys’ football team who competed in 2 finals. The boys won the first final, beating Oak Lodge 2-0 to become Bromley Schools Knockout Cup Champions. Unfortunately in the League playoff final we lost 1-0 to Oak Lodge. The boys played excellently and were the better team but just couldn't put away any of

the numerous chances we created. Well done to all the boys for a fantastic season. Congratulations to the Y3/4 mixed tennis team who represented Bromley at the London Youth Games. The boys and girls played some excellent tennis and were just denied a semi final place by the team from Barnet who won 15 games overall compared to our 14. Well done! Congratulations to our Y3/4 gymnastics team who also

represented Bromley at the London Youth Games. The boys and girls performed excellently and came 22nd out of 33 boroughs. Well done to our athletics team who came 4th out of 16 in the Bromley Schools Athletics Competition. 13 of the children qualified in their event for the chance to become individual overall champion of Bromley. To get down to the best 24 out of thousands across the Borough is an amazing achievement. The list below indicates the event and final position in Bromley

Shane Smith 75metres - 1st Gold Medal Champion of Bromley Jacob Byfield Triple Jump 1st Gold Medal Champion of Bromley Deji Joseph Long Jump 2nd Silver Medal Abdul Rahim 150m 3rd Bronze Medal Holly Elmy Long Jump 4th Lauren Carter 75 metres 4th Cameron Sergeant 150 metres 5th Jaedon Reynolds Triple Jump 5th Ramia Wedderburn-crooks Triple Jump 6th Natalie Nicoll Triple Jump 10th Mia Topping Long Jump 16th Katherine Pearce 600m 20th Abraham Bernard Fraser 75metres Didn't Run Well done to all the children—you were fantastic, but special congratulations go to the medal winners and also our 2 champions of Bromley, Shane Smith and Jacob Byfield, who have this accolade that will live with them forever. Finally our academy has achieved the gold kite mark for sport. This award is a Government led award that rewards schools for commitment and development of competition in and outside of school. Schools are assessed for them to achieve gold, silver or bronze and I am very proud to say we are the first school in Bromley to achieve gold. Ofsted use the mark as part of their inspection framework and only gold level schools are allowed to display their certificate and plaque within school. This is a whole school achievement so I would like to thank everyone for the effort they put into sport and we must now maintain this level of achievement.
