Pilani visit of Students from Birla School, Ranikhet 31 students and 3 staff members arrived in two buses at 4:30 pm on 17 September 2019. A team of Director, Principals of BKBIET, BTTI and Staff members welcomed them. Accommodation for all was arranged in International Guest House and BTTI Guest House. After refreshments, the students began their schedule with visit to Saraswati Temple. Students were very much inspired by the Indo-Aryan scheme of temple construction, statues of gods, goddesses and great personalities. The peaceful serene atmosphere of the temple made them to meditate and capture its beauty in camera. The Students also visited the New Academic block of BITS and watched Final match of Basket Ball at BITS open sports meet in BITS playground. This gave them a good opportunity to interact with students of different universities. They came back at 8:30 pm and slept after dinner. On second day, Director BKBIET welcomed them and briefed about the institutions. After this, they went to visit Birla Haveli. All of them appreciated the legacy of Birla family. It was followed by their visit to Chandrabhawan Kothi and Birla house. The students were mesmerized by the beauty and splendor of rare photographs, paintings and personal belongings of various Birla family members. During their return, they visited Panchwati and Ram Mandir. After lunch, a visit to Central Electronics Engineering Research Institute (CEERI) was organized where they were told about the latest research in the field of electronics. They also visited various research labs and workshops there. In the evening the team took them to Birla Memorial Museum, Shiv Ganga and BITS Biological park. BKBIET and BTTI students also organized a cultural program for them in which they also performed dances and songs. Third day started with physical exercise as the students enjoyed swimming in Birla School Pilani. After that, the team accompanied them to Birla Science Centre at 9:00 am where they were explained concepts of science with the help of working models and exhibits. After this, they were taken to Pilani Gallery which showcased them about Birla family tree. Director of Birla Science Museum also addressed them and made them aware about some interesting facts about Birla family. The students were inspired by the devotion and dedication of Birla family for the country. After this, they visited BITS, Library, Birla Public School and Birla school Pilani, Residential wing where they interacted with various teachers and students. In the evening camel ride was arranged in BKBIET and a friendly volley ball match was conducted between the teams of Birla School Ranikhet and BKBIET,Pilani. On 20 September at 4.30 AM, the students left for Delhi with lots of memories and smiles on the faces.
