1 Product Overview Pilot Walktour is a multi-technology mobile network test and measurement tool, based on the

latest commercial smartphone devices. It is also one of the most powerful and cost efficient

handheld based test tool in the market for in-building, and various voice and data services testing.

Pilot Walktour also provides user friendly indoor and outdoor operation interface, real-time

network quality measurement and troubleshooting, and perform tests from a real user-perception.

2 New Features Micro MOS

Micro MOS is a portable and compact device that is designed for MOS test. The MOS audio file is

replayed and recorded through the earphone interface, and the recorded audio file is transmitted

through Bluetooth from the Micro MOS device to the handset. Micro MOS supports MOS for

POLQA and PESQ with NB and SWB sampling.

Real-Time Statistics The real-time statistics function is moved to the Information interface. Test information can be

dynamically displayed on the interface based on the current radio access technology and test

service.

Statistics Report Users may select a single or multiple data files for indoor and outdoor statistics generation, with

more KPI information and display modes (e.g. by table, chart).

The statistics’ results include

• Key KPIs of the test service and network technology • Go or No Go information • Detailed service KPI information • Key KPIs displayed by bar chart/pie chart, or PDF/CDF

Pilot Walktour V3.4 (Android) provides some default report templates. Users may directly select a

template to generate the statistics result for a single or multiple data files. In addition, users may

also import a predefined report template from Pilot Pioneer reporting tool into Pilot Walktour

Android, and generate the corresponding statistics reports.

Improved Data Management The data management function is improved, which includes:

Data categorization: Data files are categorized into indoor and outdoor data files. Data filtering: Filter data files based on test service, network technology, test time, etc. Data search: Analyze data files and search data files based on exception events such as

dropped call, blocked call. Invalid filter: Hide data files which test duration is less than user-defined values. The default

value is 3 minutes.

Exception outcome: Automatically display the statistics outcome with exception count or Go or No-Go information.

Parallel Test Parallel Test is a service test where multiple test services are conducted at the same time.

New Features

Parallel Test can be started based on user-defined conditions, which include:

• Start parallel test based on absolute time. In this mode, each test service starts at the specific time.

• Start parallel test based on relative time. In this mode, each test service starts based on a user-defined period and the time when the parallel test starts.

• Start parallel test based on the status of the defined test service. In this mode, users need to define a reference test service, then other sub test services may be started based on the status (e.g. start, success, end) of the reference service.

New Data Format (*.dcf) New Dingli data format (*.dcf) is supported in this version.

The *.dcf data format is commonly used in the industry and can be processed by many major

third-party post processing software. All Dingli’s data collection products will support this data

format in the future and will gradually replace the previous *.rcu data format. These two data

formats will remain to coexist over a certain period, during which users may select either one as

required.
