Baseball
The freshman baseball team hosted Concord on Monday, where
they lost a hard fought battle 9-8. Nate Barnhart pitched well for
the Astros in his high school debut. Both Mike Jellsion and Brian
Sutton had key hits in the contest.
Freshman baseball hosted Merrimack on Tuesday. The Astros lost
in 5 innings 12-1. Ryan Simard pitched well in relief and both Brian
Sutton and Zach Rioux had quality at bats.
Varsity and JV hosted Manchester Memorial on Wednesday.
For Varsity Chris Gerossie improved his record to 6-0 on the season
helping Pinkerton defeat Manchester Memorial 5-0. Gerossie threw
a complete game scattering four hits while striking out eight.
Connor Donahue and Riley Cahill provided the offense for the
Astros each contributing two hits. Donahue and Joe Murphy each
ended the day with two RBIs.
Memorial beat the PA JV Baseball team in a well-played and
errorless game, 4-1. MattTritto pitched well for PA allowing 1 walk
while striking out 3 in a complete game performance. Offensively,
Ben Curry had an RBI triple, Matt Clark had 2 hits and 2 stolen
bases, and Anthony Paone had a key pitch hit single.
Varsity and JV baseball traveled to Dover on Memorial day.
Varsity dropped a 5-2 decision at Dover High School on Monday.
Connor Donahue took the loss going 5 and 2/3 innings allowing no
earned runs. Chris Gerossie lead the Astros offense with two
doubles, a RBI and a run scored.

JV at Dover
Softball
JV and Varsity softball hosted Londonderry on Monday.
The Varsity team found themselves down early against the Lancers,
and despite a surge in the third inning the Astros came up short
losing 18-9.
The JV team came up big winning 7-6 in 8 innings.
Freshman softball traveled to Manchester West on Monday.
MaKayla Bare had started then reentered the game to pitch PA to a victory over West. She had three hits knocking in 3 runs. Christina
Giannopoulos had a double and three hits. Olivia LaPorte did a nice
job behind the plate.
Varsity and JV softball traveled to Manchester Memorial on
Wednesday.
Varsity used 20 hits, 4 home runs, and a 10 run 1st inning to down
Manchester Memorial 16 0. Natalie Fabrizio and Ashley Walalis combined to shutout the Crusaders whiling allowing only 1 hit.
Rachel Byrd had a single, 2 doubles, a home run, 3 runs and 4 rbi.
Abby Amato had a single, double, home run, 3 runs, 2 rbi. Natalie
Fabrizio added 3 singles, 2 runs and 2 rbi. Candace Moore added 2
singles, a home run, 3 runs and 2 rbi.
JV had a tough day, losing to Memorial 13-5.
Freshman softball hosted Concord on Wednesday. Kayla Leonard
pitched 7 strong innings to help PA extend its winning streak to 7
by defeating Concord 10-7. Leonard struck out 5 batters.
Centerfielder Briana Chabot made several fine catches including

throwing a runner out at third. Chabot also had 2 hits and score 3
runs. Laura Stanieich had a triple and a single on the day.
Freshman Softball traveled to Chelmsford on Friday. Carolyn St.
Peter pitched a superb game, going 7 strong innings, giving up only
2 runs. Brianna Chabot played an outstanding center field with
several great plays. Aurora Goujon executed a suicide bunt helping
PA frosh upping their winning streak to 8 games.
Boys Tennis:
Boys jv tennis lost to Hanover 6 to 4 at home on Monday.
Sophomores Nick Tveter and Ely Campeanu both won their singles
matches for the Astros.
The JV Astros hosted Porstmouth on Tuesday. The Astros lost to
Portsmouth 8-1. Sophomore Andrew Nelson had the only win for
Astros.
On Wednesday the Varsity boys traveled to Winnacunnet. Boys
tennis lost to Winnacunett 8-1. Senior captain Josh Moser won his
singles match 9-8. Pinkerton completed their regular season with a
record of 4-10.

Girls Tennis:
On Monday the JV Lady Astros dropped to 0 3 on the season, in an 8 1 defeat at the hands of the Lady Cougars of Hanover. Junior Christina Rose avoided the shutout of the Astros with 6 5 win at #5 singles.
On Tuesday the JV Lady Astros won their first match of the season,
an impressive 7 2 decision over the Lady Clippers of Portsmouth. The Astros were led by Sophomore Captains, Maggie Gildea and
Whitney Leyland with wins at #3 (6 2) and #4 (6 4) singles respectively. Freshman Jordan Perry helped the Astros close out the
match in singles with a 6 3 win at #6.
Winners on the day in doubles were Christina Rose and Susan
Courter at #2 6 3 and Meagan Cooper and Hannah Cashman at #3 6 1.
On Wednesday the Lady Astros saw their season end with a 7 - 2
loss while hosting Winnacunnet. The Astros got singles wins from
#1 Sam Barros 8 - 4 and #4 Krista Mastrogiacomo 8 - 2. Barros, a
Sophomore finished the season with an impressive 11 - 2 mark in
singles play.
Boys Lacrosse
Boys JV and Varsity lacrosse hosted Manchester Central on
Monday.
The Varsity boys lacrosse team beat Central 17-1. Evan Sweeney
had 4 goals, Brett Dattilo had 3 goals, while Mason Barchard had 1
goal and two assists. Nick Richard had 6 saves, and Jake Burnham
and Matt Wolenski had 2 saves apiece.
The boys JV team beat the Little Green 17-0. Playing well for the
Astros were Evan Boisse, Carter Young, Matt Wolenski and Jake
Burnham.

The freshman team hosted Concord on Monday. The boys lost 5-15
at the Oval.
Boys JV and Varsity traveled to Londonderry on Thursday.
The varsity team beat the Lancers 18-5. Cam Hayward played
outstanding in goal with 16 saves ont eh day. Todd Billetter had 5
goals and 1 assist. James Tulley contributed 4 goals. Evan Sweeney
had 3 goals and 2 assists, while Jake Lisauskas had 2 goals and 4
assists.
The boys JV Lacrosse team went over to Londonderry on Thursday
and found themselves down 6-3 through the middle of the third
quarter. The Astros were then able to take control of the game and
rattled off 7 consecutive goals. Sparking the rally were John Durant,
Adam Morin, Connor Delea, Nick Coombs and Drew Strople.
Boys Freshman Lacrosse traveled to Exeter on Friday. The boys
played a 2-0 recess but just couldnt muster the offense they needed to win that all allusive third straight victory in Exeter. The final
score was PA 1- Exeter 6.
Boys Freshman Lacrosse traveled to Londonderry on Saturday. The
Astros came out on top winning 11 to 3 over the Lancers.
Girls Lacrosse
Girls JV and Varsity lacrosse traveled to Exeter on Monday.
The JV Astros picked up their play about midway through the first
half and went on to beat Exeter 16-4. Megan Jarvis continued her
great play, adding 4 goals and controlling the draw. Cassie Woodes
did well offensively and Nola Wesche controlled the transition.
Varsity started with a 1 goal lead, then Exeter went on to score 6
goals in the next 12 minutes. The half ended with Exeter up by 5, 8-
-
3. In the second half, Exeter expanded their lead to 6. PA made a run
at Exeter scoring 5 goals in the last 16 minutes of play but came up
short losing to Exeter 9-10. Maggie McCarthy led the team in ground
balls (5) and draw controls (7).
The Freshman hosted Alvirne on Monday. Emma Bennett scored 4
goals, Lexi Jean and Maryann Quigley each had 2 goals and Cami
Preble had one goal. Alex Messitidis had 5 saves. Great come back,
we were down by 2 goals and ended up winning. Great team effort
and win!
Girls freshman lacrosse traveled to Windham on Tuesday. The Astros
lost 5-12. Shannon Farias had three goals in the second half, all
within 7 minutes. Emma Bennett and Maryann Quigley each had one
goal. Alex Messitidis made 2 saves. Jordan Bernaiche and Emily
Hanna were strong defenders for the day.
Girls Freshman Lacrosse traveled to Exeter on Friday. The Astros
won 12-4. Emma Bennett and Lexi Jean each had 3 goals. Emily
Moser and Maryann Quigley each had 2 goals. Cami Preble had 1
goal apiece. Alex Messitidis made 6 saves and Rachel Wood had 7
goals.
On Saturday, Girls Freshman Lacrosse traveled to Londonderry.
Emma Bennett, Cami Preble, Jackie Guinto and Rachel Wood each
had 1 goal. Lexi Jean and Shannon Faris had 2 goals. Alex Messitidis
made 9 saves. Very intense game that the Astros were down in and
pulled together to win by 2 goals! Great win to end a season, with a
final score of 8-6.
Varsity and JV lacrosse traveled to Concord on Memorial Day.
Varsity jumped out to a 10-0 lead before Concord was able to score
with 6:09 remaining in the first half. PA was able to prevent Concord
from having many offensive opportunities executing a strong ride.

When Concord did get the ball in their offensive end, PA defense put
pressure on them to cause turnovers. The low defense was led by
seniors Jess Cote, Eva Murray, and Courtney Lampert. Maggie
Mulrennan scored her first goal of the season and Sarah Lambert,
normally playing goal took the field as an attacker in the second half
and scored her first goal of her career.
The JV Astros continued their winning streak, beating Concord 16-
1. Jackie Tarsook had great saves in net to keep Concord off the
scoreboard in the second half. Tasha Fournier and Molly Mulrennan
played stellar defense and Nola Wesche and Megan Jarvis added the
offense with 4 goals apiece.
Boys Volleyball
The boys JV and Varsity volleyball team hosted Dover on Monday.
PA won 3-1 (1: 25-20, 2: 25-19, 3: 23-25, 4: 25-24) over the Green
Wave. Andrew Lechner had 13 kills and 5 blocks, Connor Holland
had 7 blocks and Kyle Heidler had 17 assists.
The JV team lost against Dover 2-1 (1: 21-25, 2: 8-25, 3: 15-8).
Matt OHara led the team with 11 service points including 4 aces and 3 kills.
Boys Freshman lacrosse traveled to Concord on Tuesday. The
Astros lost 2-11 as they struggle getting their offense going. The
Astros home to turn is around in their remaining 3 games.
Varsity volleyball hosted Mascenic on Wednesday. The Astros won
3-0 (1: 25-17, 2: 25-20, 3: 25-12). Kyle Heidler had 22 assists, Chris
Komisarek and Andrew Lechner each had 9 kills. Jacob Newman
had 3 kills and 2 blocks, while Mike Komisarek had 12 service
points, 4 of which were Aces.
Unified Track

Tuesday the Unified Astros welcomed Concord and Hanover to the
field. With excitement we had the 100 M and 4x100 M relay.
Track star Tyler Brand came in 2nd
overall in the 100m and was part
of the winning relay team along with Phil Celeste, Jordan Dudley,
and Brenna Thibodeau. This was Phils first time in the relay and he may be a natural!
Also in the running events, our Prom Queen Bethany Zinka
performed well and gave it her all.
Adam LaPerriere had a great finish as he boogied his way across the
line.
Tyler Brand came in 1st for long jump while Keesha Myette took a
very close 2nd
. Keesha also took 3rd
in the shot put! These two
natural athletes are leading the team in points this year.
Toni the tiger, tator-tot Goucher had fun and looked like a graceful ballerina in the long jump.
Caitlin Jordan is on a serious roll this week looking tough and
making sure she gives it her all.
The Astros gave it their all and came within one point of Concord
for a 17-18 finish.
Next, we are looking forward to our State Meet on June 2nd
at
Alvirne.
Boys Track & Field
The Boys Track & Field team took on Concord for their last dual
and first Home/Senior meet. They won easily 109-36. Pinkerton
athletes won every event except for 3 - 110 hurdles, 300m hurdles
and long jump.

On Saturday, the Boys Track team traveled for the Londonderry
Invitational.
4x800!! EVERYBODY loves a sub 8:00 4x800m, and this is the
first one in Astro history. Excellent job by Connor Kwiecien, Joe
Poggi, Ryan Lynch, and Nolan Cooney. First place 7:57.01
Zach Cicio had a fantastic day, and full of .01s. He wins the 200m by .01s, 22.25.He improves his 100m time 11.11 PR placing
second by .01s.
TJ won the 300m IH (40.36 AUTO). Devin Conway placed 6th
43.50 qualifying for the state meet. TJ also improves his No. 2
sophomore 110m HH time (15.71 PR AUTO, 3rd place). He also
won the javelin 152'03".
In the 400m Connor Kwiecien placed 2nd 49.91 and Joe Poggi 3rd
50.31.
In the 800m Nolan Cooney took 1st place 1:58.40 and Noah Davis
taking 4th place and qualifying for the state meet 2:01.86.
In the 1600 , Matt Robinson placed 5th 4:33.50 with Austin Smith
and Owen Clark also qualifying.
In the 3200, Phil Parent , Nick Sevilla and Tom Hanlon placed 2nd,
3rd and 4th respectively with Nick Pietrocarlo also qualifying for
the event.
The 4x100 relay team of Nico Buccieri , TJ Urbanik , Kyle
Cantalupo and Zach Cicio took 1st place improving thier time to a
seasons best of 44.37.

The 4x400 team placed 5th - Sam Lanternier, Noah Davis, Nick
White and Nate Rees.
Erik Goulet took 5th In the high jump 5' 8". And 3rd in triple Jump
39' 10.5"
Mark Hanlon waas 5th in the long jump 19' 4"
John Davis placed 6th in discus 115' 5.5"
Overall ,it was an excellent day for PA boys leading in the
Divsional state meet this Friday!
Girls Track & Field
The girls track team defeated Concord in a close meet at home, 75-
69.
Junior Brianna Warnick led the team with two first place finishes.
Brianna won the 100 and 200 meters in personal best times, 12.98
and 26.83. Both times qualify her for the Division 1 Championship.
Senior Jacque Greazzo also scored two firsts, tying for the win in
the high jump, and winning the triple jump. Kayla Watson
solidified her position as the top Division 1 thrower, winning both
the shot put and discus throw.
Sydnay Sandell improved her 9th
grade record and won the javelin,
96 6. Morgan Sansing won the 3200 in 11:28.
Nora Robichaud picked up two second places and Maria Virga two
thirds in the hurdle races. Other athletes placing second were
Danielle Kuhl, javelin; Hannah Rogers, long jump; Michaela
Blackwell, 200, and Maria Virga, triple jump. Bela Fast grabbed
two thirds in the dashes. Sophie Rouge placed third in both the
discus throw and the shot put.

The girls track team competed at the Capital Classic in Concord on
Friday night. The chilly wet weather kept the times and distances
on the average side. Several Pinkerton athletes met the challenge of
the weather and placed high in their events.
Kayla Watson was the sole Astro individual winner, topping the
shot put with a solid 34 9 toss. The 4 x 100 relay of Brianna Warnick, Michaela Blackwell, Hannah Rogers and Bela Fast
sped around the track to grab a first place by half a second.
Brianna Warnick also placed in the 200 meters, and Bela Fast took
a 4th
in the 100.
Olivia Tracey ran an even paced 3200, and finished third in a
seasons best time. The 4 x 800 relay ran their best time of the season and pulled ahead of the pack early in the race to claim
second place. Running on the quartet were Tayler Lacey, Morgan
Sansing, Madi smith and Sarah Muller. No team scores were
kept.
Athletes of the Week:
Nolan Cooney Sophomore: Boys Outdoor Track & Field
Nolan took first place in the 800m at the Londonderry Invitational.
Nolan was also a part of the 4 x 800m relay that took first place
with a time of 7:57.01. The first time in Astro History the 4x800 has
broken 8 minutes!
Sarah Lambert Senior: Girls Lacrosse
As the Astros goalie, Sarah, has made several big saves throughout the season in helping the Astros get off to a strong start. Sarah, also
scored her first career goal on Monday in the Astros win at
Concord.
