Position Details:
Manage in-line inspection (ILI) projects, apply accepted engineering practices for
fitness-for-purpose assessments.
Finalize reports for state-of-the-art ultrasonic wall thickness and geometry in-lineinspections of pipelines.
Additional advanced engineering assessment to be performed on individual
integrity management projects.
Phases of this job may be carried out at the local regional office, other regional
offices located worldwide, or at the client's job site.
Communicate pipeline integrity management via ILI data sets (ultrasonic data);
regulations (established by PHMSA); and API, NACE, POF and other industry
standards for ILI technology and ILI data sets.

client.
Establish consistent, high quality reporting formats and interface with clients to
resolve client data interpretation challenges and solicit and synthesize client
feedback on prospective pipeline improvements. Establish consistent and seamless interface between the Inspection division and
Assessment division to ensure highest quality and most time efficient deliverable for
the client.
Support technology development based on continuing field testing of technology
and direct comparison to actual pipeline conditions.
Support pipeline-related integrity management initiatives, both internal through the
Assessment division and through third parties.
Communicate and promote capabilities/advantages of company inspection and
engineering assessment through industry events and publishing or co-publishing
relevant technology validation case studies.
Fulfill project leadership or management tasks and coordination as requested.
Interface with domestic regulatory and industry standard setting bodies and other
local regulatory and/or standard setting bodies within the markets we serve.
Comply with all state, federal and company policies required as part of the data and
engineering assessment deliverable activities.
May participate in management strategy and operations development activities as
applicable.
Travel will be required - 10 to 25%.
Experience Profile:
BS in an applicable engineering subject and 5+ years of re lated industry
experience.
Thorough understanding of pipeline integrity management via ILI data sets,
specifically ultrasonic data.
Pipeline integrity, integrity management, assessment of pipeline flaws. Knowledge of pipeline integrity management regulations, established by PHMSA.
Understanding of API, NACE, POF, etc. standards for ILI technology and ILI data
sets.
Ability to obtain TWIC (Transportation Worker Identification Credential) and other
required industry certifications as necessary.
Proficient in MS Office and information technology generally.
Able to travel up to 10 to 25% as required. Travel is primarily 1-2 day trips in N.
America. International travel is rare but can occur.

Software programming experience provides advantage.
Ultrasonic inline inspections, specifically ultrasonic data.
Pressure cycle fatigue analysis.
Fitness-for-service assessments. Ultrasonic data analysis.

First class graduate mechanical engineer with experience of working in the static
equipment design group of a leading engineering consultancy / EPC organization or
in the design office of a reputed process equipment fabricator (preferably in food /
pharmaceutical / FMCG industry) and should have in-depth knowledge and
experience of working with latest international codes like ASME Sec VIII Div-1 and
Div-2, ASME BPE, PD-5500, EN13445, IS 2825, API 650, API 620, TEMA, IBR and
SMPV rules.
Candidate shall be well conversant with the use of available software tools for
pressure vessels like PV Elite, Compress. Knowledge of PDS/PDMS would be an
advantage.
Experience in design of process equipment with international hygienic requirements
used in food / pharmaceutical / FMCG industry shall be an advantage.
Candidates with experience in Oil & Gas sector, Refinery and Fertilizers sectors also
be considered.
Other Essential Functions
The candidate may be required to work as specialist Lead Engineer after
understanding Jacobs work procedures and standard practices.
The candidate will report to Section Manager / Head who is leading the team.
The candidate is expected to carry out design and detailing in the time frame
assigned and maintaining the required quality norms.
He/She may be required to interact and positively contribute with other disciplines in
