PIRATE TREASURE MAP PIZZA

Everyone loves Pizza - even PIRATES! Grab your favorite pizza dough and sauce and get ready to have some fun me hearties!

To begin, prepare your favorite pizza recipe and then grab some fun ingredients to start making your map!

Suggested food map icons: Red bell pepper (for your boat and “X” marks the treasure) Mozzarella slices (for your sail—you might be needin’ a toothpick or two for the mast) Green bell pepper (for palm tree fronds) Thin pretzel sticks (for your tree trunks and ship’s mast) Sliced black olives (for your treasure trail) Pepperoni for your treasure (or pineapple if you be likin’ that sort of thing!)

PIRATE MUNCH MIX This crunchy, munchy mix is the perfect snack for all you

seafaring, swashbuckling, adventure loving, hungry buccaneers!

WHAT YOU BE NEEDIN’ (ingredients for you landlubbers!) 2 cups of pretzel squares 2 cups of Pirate Booty or Cheddar Puffs 1 cup gold fish crackers 1/2 blue jelly beans or blue M&M’s 1/2 cup nuts (optional if there be allergies!)

4 tablespoons of butter 8 tablespoons of brown sugar 1/8 - 1/4 teaspoon cayeene powder (this be optional and only if you be likin’ spicey things!) 1/4 teaspoon of sea salt (the taste of the sea!)

YE OLDE INSTRUCTIONS 1. In a large bowl, add pretzels, Pirate Booty or cheddar puffs, jelly

beans or M&M’s and nuts (if using). Set aside. 2. In a microwave safe bowl, add remaining ingredients and heat for 30

seconds on high. Stir and return to microwave in 10 second intervals until the sugar has melted.

3. Carefully pour the brown sugar mixture over the other ingredients and stir until well to coat. Allow to cool!

4. Be sure to decorate your bowl of PIRATE MUNCH MIX with your own JOLLY ROGER FLAG! And if there be any left over, be sure to store in an airtight container.

APPLE AHOY Set sail with with tasty treat! This be perfect for a

mid-afternoon snack or lunch, Mateys!

WHAT YOU BE NEEDIN’ (ingredients for you landlubbers!)

Apples (any kind will do) for the HULL

of your ship Cheese (your favorite kind!) for the

DECK of your ship Thin pretzel sticks or toothpicks for

the MAST of your ship Fruit Roll-ups, Slice of Salami, Slice of

Mozarella Cheese (whatever you prefer) for the SAIL of your ship

SHIP BUILDING TIME! Simply slice your apple into quarters and cut your cheese into 1/2 inch “planks” for your deck. Stack your cheese on top of your apple slice and secure with either a toothpick or pretzel stick. To top off your vessel, slide your “sail” of choice onto the “mast” and you are ready to begin your tasty adventure!

WHAT YOU BE NEEDIN’ (ingredients for you landlubbers!) Seltzer Your favorite fruit drink (BLUE in color be

nice for the deep blue sea) Frozen Swedish Fish Lemon or Orange Slices TO POUR THE PUNCH! Fill your glass 1/2 seltzer, 1/2 fruit drink. Add your frozen fish and garnish with your orange or lemon slice! Don’t forget your straw. DRINK UP, ME HEARTIES, AND ENJOY!
