As it is just a medium/close up shot, costume isn’t really that important, except from head to chest. Polina – a black, sequined hat, dark red lipstick, black eye liner and mascara, a few glitters under her eyes and her hair is up in a bun. Alicia – a dark red scarf wrapped aroung her head, gold freckles on her cheeks, light pink/clear lips, and a black design on her neck

Attempted connotation

The models are over the top, confident pop icons. The unusual look evokes interest and curiosity....

Planned denotation

Idea 1. One is looking at the camera while the other is looking away. Very simple facial expressions. Idea 2. Both just fiddling with the accessories they have, again, simple. Almost like a beauty shot. I don’t want to have a planned denotation, I want it to be natural and I’ll just ask them to improvise.

Contingency (in case of model absence/weather)

Luckily, some will be indoors, so the weather wouldn’t affect my plan. However, if for whatever reason, they cannot make it and it’s to choose someone else, I’ll look through the pictures I took in party and see if there are any that are suitable.
