Planning of my music video

0 The theme or genre of my music video is alternative.0 I have chosen this for my music video as I believe that this is a

genre that hasn’t had a large audience and doesn’t follow a set pattern. So believe that the audience will not know what to expect or they will know that the video will have a unique setting and/or meaning.

Genre

0 The song that I am going to use in the music video would be “Everyday is exactly the same” by Nine Inch Nails.

0 This is within the alternative genre of music and I have sent an email requesting permission to use their song in my music video.

0 The lyrics and the theme have inspired me in the creation of the music video.

The song for the video

0 The song that I have chosen has lyrics that repeat a set amount of times in the song and the title is “ Everyday is exactly the same” so this has inspired me to include some repetition within the music video as this will be in theme with the song.

0 This is the chorus to the song that I will be using and the reason why I have decided to use some repetition within the video

Performance

0 One of the scenes that I will use to create a sense of repetition will be of car going down a country road.

0 However the angle of the camera will from the left side of the car half way up the side of the car with a view of the wheel arch and the reflection of the scenery in the shot.

0 I will film this scene for a maximum of two minutes as I will cut it up and put the best footage in the video.

Example scene

0 The location that might be used for the repetition scene could be the clear, derelict country lanes that are in Biddulph Moor and Mow cop. These locations would provide me with the correct setting for what I want to achieve with this shot. As it has scenery that would be effective for the reflection that I plan to use.

0 Besides the repetition I have had other ideas on the content of the music video such as:

0 A change in the style of the video half way through as this video will be a narrative video as a story will unfold. That will be about an individuals life and how their activities change after witnessing that they are stuck in the same mundane routine.
