plans for front cover

Title; Priestley Times mise en scene Costume; for my college magazine I would want the actor on the fount of the magazine to be wearing general student outfits e.g. jumper, jeans and converse. This is to create a cool causal college image to show people reading it that it is actual college aspects that I have taken into consideration when taking the pictures for my magazine. Lighting+ colour; I would want to replicate the existing college colours which are blue and white; I would carry these colours out throughout my magazine. This is to create a happy exciting feel for my magazine as using dull colours won’t draw the reader to want to look or read my magazine. Actors; I would want an actor who are either my college friends or someone from the college council who wouldn’t mind me taking a picture of them to be on my front cover. This is to make sure that the look of my magazine is portraying how college life actually is and using people who actually attend the college makes the magazine more friendly and realistic. Also if people recognise the person on the front cover it draws them in to want to read what is being said about them. Make up; I would want the actor to have natural make up that looks flawless and bright/light. This is to make sure that my magazine looks light and happy and inviting as I don’t want my model to have dark clothes on or heavy makeup which may put off the reader. Props; I would want to use an apple of pile of books which the actor would hold as this is what you would expect if you were to associate a magazine with college. This is a typical convention of college life linked with the word college are books and studying and also typically on films actors carry books and an apple to give to the teacher like a teacher’s pet which I’d like to come across in my photo. Setting; I would want to take the picture on a white back ground then maybe edit the picture onto another background. Or I would like to take a selection of photos around the college.

Title; Priestley Times

mise en scene

Costume; for my college magazine I would want the actor on the fount of the magazine to be wearing general student outfits e.g. jumper, jeans and converse.

This is again so the reader recognises the college which may again make them want to read the content of my magazine.

Cover lines

For the magazine’s cover lines, I will put some 'puff' icons and also some 'buzz' words to draw peoples attention to the magazine. My cover lines will be; advertisement for deals in the cafes, new products e.g. Starbucks, A level results and the new change in disciplinary and people’s views on the new rules the college has brought in. I will have 8 cover lines including the 'puff' advertisement and including 'buzz' words.
