The term Plastic Pop describes how people become famous for their talents. This is due to the vast amount of reality TV shows. These include; Britain’s Got Talent, X-Factor, Fame Academy and Andrew Lloyd Webber’s performance. All these reality TV shows have a specific way of targeting a younger audience. Some examples of Plastic Pop artists would be Miley Cirus and Selena Gomez.

The company Disney can also be linked with Plastic Pop as it is appeals to a younger audience. This is for the reason that many teenage celebrities are featured in Disney programmes. Also Disney is recognised to be a source of teeny pop genre. This is due to films such as High School Musical, which links to the stereotypical views of plastic pop.
