Bike’s sprocket must face outward with respect to Bike Rack (sprocket should face rear of vehicle) with bike’s crank and pedal clear of Upright adjustment area.

With bike resting in Wheel Cradles, slide Long Hook down the Upright to engage with bike frame. Thread Knob all the way down to end of Long Hook shaft. See photo at right.

Position Hook Bracket on Upright so mounting holes line up. Slide in small Latch Pin. Engage Latch Pin safety wire. See photo at right.

Now thread the Knob up the shaft until it securely tightens the Long Hook to the bike frame.

Knob tightened. Long Hook securely holds bike frame. See photo to right.

Swing down wire loop of Hook Bracket to engage one of the tabs on Knob. See photo to right.

Use a ratcheting tie-down or strap (both not included) to completely wrap around the bike frame, Horizontal Tube and Upright.See photo at right.

Add extra padding (not included) to all bike framecomponents that come in contact with the Bike Rackto reduce the risk of scratching bike frame.

Before starting the trip make final inspection; make sure that Knobs are tightened down, Latch Pins and Split Pins are in place, and tie downs/straps and padding securely hold and protect the bike.Once on the road, periodically stop and check the overall condition of the bike and Bike Rack.

Adding a second bike to the Bike RackPlace second bike on the outside Wheel Cradles with the bike facing in the opposite direction of the first bike. Again, bike sprocket should face outward with respect to the Bike Rack. Use Short Hook to secure bike frame. Follow the steps mentioned previously to safely load and transport the second bike. Use tie-downs or straps to completely wrap around both bike frames, Horizontal Tubes and Upright. Do not overload the Bike Rack; maximum 2 bikes with maximum weight capacity of 75 Lbs. total. Do not set up the Bike Rack on a trailer, camper, RV or 5th Wheeler.
