Platnauer Concerts 2009/10 The Thorne Trio 25 October 2009 The Marian Consort 31 January 2010 Jianfeng Chen (violin) Born in Shanghai in 1987, Jiafeng Chen started to play the violin at the age of three. He made his Wigmore Hall debut in December 2005, and appeared in the BBC proms cycle of 2006 as a soloist. He currently stud- ies at the Royal College of Music . The Platnauer concerts honour the memory of Maurice Platnauer, a former Principal of Brasenose (1956- 1960). At the end of each concert, everyone is welcome to join the Principal and Fellows for refreshments in the SCR. The concerts, held in the college chapel in the 3rd week of each term, commence at 21:00. Anna Peletsis (Piano) A student of the RCM, Anna Peletsis recently won the FLAME International Piano Competition in Paris. Future en- gagements include concerts in the Wigmore Hall and the Bridge- water Hall. & A concert featuring the Oxford vocal group, together with the sounds of the Wingfield Organ (a reconstruction of a Tudor organ currently housed in Brasenose) 9 May 2010 Young Artists’ Platform
